  1. Very nice spot

Needed a place to put my trailer ASAP. Drove in and talk to the campsite host who gave me a spot and took my money and didn’t ask me a single question…. nice smooth sailing… no stupid questions about the size of my dog.

  2. Nice campground, no problems with our stay

My partner and I had just finished road tripping to Vancouver Island and needed a place to stay overnight on our way back to Alberta. This was during the long weekend so we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to find any vacant campgrounds that would allow a one night stay (most sites needed a minimum 3 night stay during a long weekend). We called Willow Creek and thankfully they had some vacant spots. Once we arrived, the owner was very friendly and helped us settle in. The campground was essentially a lot in the middle of town. There was a strip mall across the street with restaurants, a bank and a Shoppers. On the other side of the campground was a residential area which welcomed cyclists and ru ers were in the morning. Not necessarily the quietest area with all the cars and motorcycles passing through. We paid $35 for a tenting spot with power. Tenting areas were quite small but did its job. Other amenities available were coin laundry ($2.50/wash, $2/dry), dishwashing station, bathrooms, coin showers ($1/5 minutes), and wifi (only accessible by the office). We had no problems with loud, intoxicated neighbours during our time here. We saw many children during our stay, most of them were flying their kites or ru ing and playing around. Many campers were just minding their own business. In the end, we were pretty satisfied with our stay!

  4. Camp elsewhere

     (3 / 5)

Tent sites were decent size but beach and downtown access gates invaded our privacy. Bathrooms weren’t clean but the price to camp was reasonable for the location. The road into the campground is dusty

  5. Middle of town near the lake

Park is ok. Half full of local residents. Has a section for tents. Small lots. Friendly owners. Was pretty cheap we paid $25 for one night with power. Shower is $1 for 5 minutes. Toilets have a pin door entry. Camp has wifi but only in sections close to office but it is free.

  6. Better then I thought

     (3 / 5)

After reading the reviews, I was nervous before arrival. But surprisingly better then I had imagined. We were on the trailer side with full hook ups. nThe sites are very small but luckily it’s not so bad when you book 2 sites with friends so Atleast we knew our neighbours. nAll in all, everyone , including the front desk clerk, was extremely friendly. We didn’t have any issues with late night loud noise or sketchy people walking around. nThis campground is walking distance to gyro beach, play grounds,n2 grocery stores, 3 liquor stores, shoppers drug mart,nDollarama and Starbucks. Not to mention several dining options. nLocation is what would make me book this place again nAnd pet friendly. I think everyone in the entire campground had a dog.
