  1. New Management gives over the top service!

     (5 / 5)

The new management is amazing! Lea, the owner came in on our second day to see if we needed anything. My 3 year old happened to have been sick in the night – all night. There was vomit on the carpet, tile, two beds and all the towels. Lea had her team wash the carpet, strip and replace ALL the bedding and even washed my daughter’s favorite blankie that we brought from home. They brought it back to her warm from the drier as soon as it was done for her much-needed nap. We have been coming to the Waterfront I for many years and we were a little nervous about it being under new management but what an upgrade! Lea and her team are incredible and we are looking forward to going back next year.

  2. Great location!

     (3 / 5)

Right across from Skaha Beach, with park, te is courts & beach volleyball courts next door – makes this a super relaxing place to stay with lots of options. Also, it’s in the same block as Gilligan’s Ice Cream, with 60 yummy flavours! We had a suite, rooms were clean, towels as well, full kitchen (fridge, stove, sink, utensils, etc.), so could cook there if you wanted. No noise issue. Would have been nice to have light over our patio table (we were in #101) – some patios had a bit more light, but not very bright to play cards or games by. Definitely would stay here again!

  3. Wonderful Stay

     (5 / 5)

Our first stay at this establishment…and we will definitely return. The TripAdvisor reviews on this motel were spot on. We found it clean (you could eat off the floor!), comfortable, practical layout and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glasses etc. Love the location with it being a stones throw to the ‘skaha’ beach. Also super friendly owner, Peter…very personable and enjoyed some chats with him. Pet friendly, so I little dogs enjoyed the vacation as well. Will be back next year.

  4. Simply perfect

     (4 / 5)

Simple, clean, comfortable and close to the beach. Friendly and courteous service. Peter the proprietor is a gracious host and will ensure your stay is pleasant. BBQ grills are available to grill lunch and di ers and the units have fully supplied kitchenettes. The air conditioning is perfect and not too cool. Two TVs with Plenty of parking. The Skaha beach is across the road and te is courts close by. This is the best beach in the Okanagan. I highly recommends this hotel if you are looking for basic accommodations across from Skaha beach in Penticton BC.

  5. Perfect place for our family holiday

     (5 / 5)

I visited the Waterfront last week with my daughter, son-in-law and two year old grandson. We had two rooms, my daughter had a suite with kitchen, my wife and I had a room with a fridge and a queen size bed. The rooms were adjoining and located right outside the barbecue area. Everything about our stay was perfect. The location at the barbecue area turned out to be outstanding. The location was perfect both for the beach and three parks within a short walk (two play parks and a spray park). There was so much to entertain a very active 2 year old. Our rooms were clean and the price (especially when considering the location) was very reasonable. I had stayed at the Waterfront a few years ago and remembered Peter very fondly. That opinion was confirmed on this trip. I found him to be very friendly, very helpful, and willing to talk. I know my daughter had phoned him with a few questions and found him very supportive and kind. She does not do reviews but she would concur with this one. Skaha is a beautiful beach and the views from the barbecue area at the Waterfront are spectacular.

  6. Fantastic Location and Accommodation

     (5 / 5)

We (my boyfriend, myself and our little dog) stumbled along the Waterfront I almost by accident. We had a last minute change of plans and needed a place to stay. I phoned into make my reservation four days before our arrival and we were lucky they had a pet friendly room for us. I had to pay up front with my credit card, no problem for us though. We were told we could arrive anytime, the day of our check in we were driving from West Kelowna (about an hour) and I called to make sure we really could check in anytime as we were coming early…Peter (the owner) assured me our room was ready and waiting. We arrived in Penticton, checked in with no problems, Peter let us know he had turned our AC on so the room would be nice and cool for us. We were blown away by the close proximity of this hotel to the waterfront. Literally a 2 minute walk straight across a grassy park and you are at the public beach. The hotel is very cute, and I felt like I was in a 60s surf movie. The rooms are updated, and extremely clean, they smelt fresh. Our bedding was so comfortable. We had a full kitchen with full size fridge, stove and microwave. The bathroom was spotless and had good water pressure. We had a separate bedroom with a king size bed and flatscreen tv, The living room had a hide-a-bed, extra bedding, a safe, a kitchen table with seating for 5 or 6 and another flatscreen. Just outside our door was a patio table and chairs, each room seemed to have their own. We were right next to the pool but didn’t use it since the beach was right there. FYI – there is a $50 deposit required for the key to the pool. Peter was most accommodating and pleasant, as was the woman working there too. Despite the hustle and bustle of the area, our room was quiet and cool. We had a great sleep! nThe only downside is, there didn’t seem to be any convenient places to walk to for di er but Penticton is small enough that to drive across the city takes no time at all. nI highly recommend the Waterfront I , it is clean, quiet and has an absolutely AMAZING location.

  7. Immaculately clean and well kept

     (5 / 5)

This motel was immaculately clean and very well kept. The room was in excellent condition. The owner checked us in and out and was very friendly and nice to chat with. The location is also fantastic for families, across the street from the lake and a small playground. Next time we come to town we will not hesitate to get a room here.

  8. Great

     (5 / 5)

Great place. Amazing location. The room was clean and the owner (Peter) was extremely accommodating on a last minute booking (half hour before we arrived) due to horrible conditions at another motel in town. Through our stay the staff were great and very attentive. Would deffinately recommend and will be back for sure.

  9. Great service and location

     (5 / 5)

We were very happy with our stay at the Waterfront I . Peter, the owner/manager, was very helpful and accommodating. He gave us a high chair for our 14-month-old (which was a lifesaver) on a day’s notice, and he also sent us back our iPad when we left in in the room. The service was really outstanding! Our room (suite) was very clean, and towels were replaced every day even though we were in and out of the room all day. There was a table and chairs right in front of our place, which allowed us to hang out outside with the window open after our son was in bed. It wasn’t a private patio, but it was fun getting to meet our neighbours, and the place has a good social vibe (at least when we were there). Great location right by Skaha Lake Park, 1 block off the beach.
