  1. A very nice, conveniently located, hotel.

     (5 / 5)

The room was a fairly typical hotel room, neither cramped nor enormous, with a queen bed, chair and lamp, desk with another chair, TV, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The bedside alarm clock is a model I have not seen before that also provides two three-prong electrical sockets and two USB charging ports.. A nice touch is that in addition to the powdered coffee whitener the refrigerator is stocked with liquid dairy creamer. There is no room service, but there is an extensive free continental breakfast and it appears that deliveries are permitted. The hotel has an associated pub with good food. Within a two block radius there are at least twenty restaurants, ranging from Starbucks to Thai, as well as a Shopper’s Drug, two banks (CIBC and BMO), and a fairly large bookstore. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

  2. Customer Service is Tops!

     (5 / 5)

Very, very impressed with the customer service at this hotel! Everyone who works there was super helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is absolutely spotless, spacious rooms and really modern. The breakfast was pretty awesome and it was a nice treat to have such fresh fruit, quiches and a vast array of cereals, baked goods etc. The surprise was how quiet the hotel is for a downtown location. I fully expected (since my room faced a bar), to hear a fair amount of noise during the night, but nothing. And, underground parking is a huge bonus. I’d recommend this place to any traveler!

  3. Location, Location, Location

     (3 / 5)

Situated at the very center of the busiest street in Kelowna, everything worth visiting is literally within walking distance. Unfortunately, the location is the nicest thing about this place. The building is nice, but very clearly a bit dated. There’s a cute little statue of Ogopogo (the sea-serpent mascot of Kelowna) right outside the front door, which was a nice touch. It has a workout room that was almost always empty whenever I went down to get more ice. There’s a large conference room area that I’m assuming can be rented for special events and parties, more on that later. The room itself was actually pretty decent. Very tidy, two beds, lots of storage space, a counter, a bathroom, and a nice view of the street. The beds were very comfortable. They did a very good job sound-proofing the room, I could only barely hear the hustle and bustle of late-night revelers down on the street below.nnI’ve listed the pros, now I’m going to list the cons. Remember when I mentioned the conference room? Well during my last night at the hotel, apparently some one had organized a concert in it. The sound traveled all throughout the entirety of the hotel, and the concert didn’t end until extremely late. Possibly around 1:30am. Also the complimentary continental breakfast was a bit of a joke. First of all, the layout of the breakfast room was altogether confusing and possibly created at random. I had to search for way longer than I should’ve to figure out where everything was. There was a small plate of stale pastries, a couple bowls of fruit, and a plate of egg&ham things that were shaped like muffins that needed to be heated up in a microwave before you ate them. There were also drink machines, but they were out of coffee and orange juice, and I had to go looking on the other side of the room to find the cups.nnFinally, I shall list minor gripes. The remote for the tv in the room was a bit busted up, the guy driving the shuttle that brought us from the airport to the hotel made sure he let us know that there was a tip jar and that we could tip him for the complimentary drive, then on the way back to the airport we were driven by two men who blasted music the whole way (I’m assuming in the hopes that it would help cover up the fact that they were speaking to each other loudly in another language the entire time), and lastly there was rarely a time when I’d enter the hotel and find some one actually siting at the desk. Almost always had to go looking for some one or call some one out from the back room behind the desk to get service.nnAll in all, It was an average experience. I feel like the location and the simplicity made up for any complaints I had, and in the end, I wasn’t visiting to see the hotel anyways.nn3/5, comfortable and convenient.

  5. Perfect Location and Service

     (4 / 5)

We were in town for 5 nights and required two rooms. You couldn’t ask for a better location. Restaurants, bars, casino, hockey rink, shopping etc., all within easy walking distance.nAn added bonus is the complimentary breakfast, with a comprehensive assortment of fresh fruit, frittatas, and the like. Good coffee too.nWe had a mini suite with a large walk-in closet and all kinds of space and seating.nModern bathroom fixtures and clean through out, including the brightly lit underground parking garage. nPolite and helpful staff. This facility succeeds on all levels.

  6. Location is close to everything

     (3 / 5)

Stayed one night at this downtown location. The location is walking distance to the water and many little restaurants and shops. We were able to park in the parkade below the hotel for free but spaces are limited which they tell you at check in. I believe there is an overflow area out near the back of the hotel. The negatives sadly outway the positives. The back of the hotel is a bit shady. Although probably safe, each time my husband went outside for a cigarette there were always individuals lingering back there. I found this area to have a terrible amount of homeless and drug addicted individuals walking around. As a young woman I didn’t feel overly safe as the individuals behind the hotel were punching the buildings and tripping on drugs. I realize the hotel can’t control most of this. The hotel had signs everywhere to hide your items and watch the garage door close behind you to reduce theft. The front door of the hotel was locked before 9pm when we were returning from a walk and it stated it was for safety so this all didn’t give me a safe feeling. As for the room, it has been updated but some areas are lacking like the bathrooms. They were clean but really needed a little more TLC as there were areas of mold and mildew. You will hear everything from the hallways and anyone entering their rooms the doors slam terribly. Housekeeping was cleaning the hallways or room next door around 9am and it was as if she was in our room. The hotel is older so it must be hard to control some of this. The breakfast selection was large but not great. A lot of the food was not covered and had a bland taste so we didn’t eat much. If you’re looking for location close to some great little places this is a good spot. The front desk staff checking in were great and polite.

  7. Comfort and Convenience

     (4 / 5)

This small gem is located in the heart of Kelowna, a lovely little city. The hotel appears to have been updated recently and offers many up-to-date conveniences. In the heart of the local wine country, you have plenty of restaurants to choose from especially boutique coffee shops. The only disappointment was the continental breakfast. Nothing freshly prepared and a modest assortment of breakfast items.

  8. Great hotel in heart of Downtown

     (5 / 5)

This place is a gem. Very courteous and friendly staff. Clean rooms and lobby. The breakfast was exceptional with many offerings, lots of fresh fruit, vegetable frittatas, as well as the usual continental breakfast items. The old photos featured around the hotel add character and charm. Parking in their garage is very limited, but there is an overflow lot. Great location to explore downtown, and free shuttle to and from the airport was available. We would stay there again for sure.

  9. Royal Anne in Kelowna

     (3 / 5)

Basically a 3 star hotel but it is really well positioned close to the water right downtown. Lots of pubs and restaurants around. Hotel has some underground parking so if you are travelling by motorcycle you might want to book a parking spot ahead of time so it is secure for you.

  10. Nice Hotel

     (3 / 5)

This hotel is centrally located. The rooms are well appointed. Some drawbacks to the hotel: They have a breakfast room with good selection. Other than breakfast there is no restaurant or bar. However, there are a number of restaurants across the street. Service was good. No business center. No real lobby to speak of. I arrived early to check in and they had no place I could sit and work at. Ended up at the local library about 4 blocks away. No fitness center.
