  2. Cool spot to catch some great live music and above average food.

Have been here a couple of times over the years and intend to try and go more often. Nice diverse menu with really tasty choices. Combine a few dishes to share and make a meal of it. The ribs were fantastic as were the crab and prawn griddle cakes. Gluten free choices and desserts. Very interesting decor, l notice different stuff every time. They get top notch performers from all different musical genres. We saw David Gogo, an amazing blue guitarist with his band. Small club so it’s pretty intimate and can be loud. I would recommend tables in the middle of the room for best sound as we were in one of the wings and the PA speaker was right above us, which seemed to produce a lot of distortion. Still a great evening. Service was good, you need to be there quite early on show nights as they like to have dinner service complete before the performance. Full bar with specialty cocktails, I recommend the dark and stormy.

  3. Romantic Dinner for Two

     (5 / 5)

We have been to half a dozen shows at the Dream Cafu00e9 and love it so much we are looking into whether we can by a season’s pass. This is a long, romantic evening with great food, music or comedy and delicious desserts, wine and coffee. Whether it’s with a table full of friends or a romantic evening for two – it’s a great place to take in the culture of the Okanagan.

  4. Probably the best live music venue in Canada

     (5 / 5)

120 seat restaurant with focus on live music. Great venue with everyone seated very close to the stage. A great array of ‘acoustic’ musicians of whom not one has ever failed to impress me. You can book tickets for an act you’ve never heard of and be confident you’ll find them interesting, engaging and talented. Food is appy style and is much improved. On music nights, the table is yours for the evening so you can enjoy the music. The other patrons are there for the same reason, so there’s no annoying hubbub of chatter drowning out the performers.

  5. Hidden Gem!

     (5 / 5)

What a fabulous venue for the music crowd! Acoustics are fabulous, small venue, not a bad seat in the house. Staff are welcoming and engaging. I really like the ‘buzzer’ at the table idea where you press a button to inform the server you need another bevy etc. The servers don’t hover during the show unless you ‘buzz’ them. We have only recently started visiting this place since we are relatively new to the area – have NOT been disappointed with the 5 shows we’ve attended. Looking forward to many more. Keep the great work. Food menu is also good, wouldn’t say great, but we go for the entertainment anyways. Great selection for local vino.

  6. Entertainment is Amazing and the Food is Very Good

     (4 / 5)

We have been to the Dream Cafe on many occasions and the venue and the Entertainment are well chosen. The quality of the artists and the quality of the sound is excellent. It is a comfortable for viewing the entertainment and be sure to order a meal. There are many choices and meals are well prepared. You wont be disappointed !

  7. Great Venue

     (5 / 5)

Frequent the Dream Cafe 5 or 6 times a year mostly for the live music shows but always have a bite or two off the menu. Entertainment always top notch and food has never disappointed. Seats about 100 for a show in a very intimate setting. Not a bad seat in the house and those who perform there always love it. If you come to Penticton catch a show at this funky venue you won’t be disappointed.
