The Chesterfield Inn

The Chesterfield Inn

In a heritage area we have built a bed and breakfast with comfort and easy access to all amenities. Your satisfaction is important to us and we try to serve you in all areas. We are new to Kelowna and opened in 2012. One room is totally wheelchair accessible with free parking, a place to relax and enjoy in the back yard and great breakfasts served. We are available for anyone visiting hospital patients at a reduced rate. Our location is central to City Park in Kelowna and close to downtown with all its restaurants, shops and bars. We also are close to the beach where you can relax and suntan for the day or just hang out.

  1. Highly recommend!

Tagged along on my husband’s business trip in the Kelowna area and decided on a B&B. As it turned out, this choice was an exceptional one. The relaxing, tastefully decorated room, the ‘above and beyond’ breakfast and the friendly and helpful hosts made us decide to definitely come again. Thank you!

  2. Great place, great people

     (5 / 5)

We had the pleasure of staying at the Chesterfield Bed and Breakfast over the Thanksgiving weekend. We found the location very central and easy to walk downtown or into the Mission area. Our room was excellent – comfortable bed, large bathroom, and quiet even though there were other guests at the B&B that weekend. The daily breakfasts exceeded our expectations and even though we golfed most days, the hearty breakfast kept us going until suppertime. Joy and Jake were great hosts, we enjoyed our morning visits with them, learning about their families and about Kelowna. We would definitely recommend the Chesterfield B&B to anyone traveling to Kelowna for holidays or even if you need to be close to the hospital. We hope to return to this B&B in the future.

  3. Love this place

We were delighted with our spacious , immaculate, and extremely comfortable room . The hosts are amazing friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area ! This is a truly lovely B&B experience and we would love to return someday.

  4. Great location, lovely facility

     (5 / 5)

I was tired of hotels so I decided to try a B&B. Found this Inn on TripAdvisor and booked in. The Inn is located in a nice neighborhood off main streets (a quick 25 minute drive from the airport), and near key downtown sites. Really was a slightly longer walk or easy drive up the street to great restaurants and coffee shops.nnThere are several rooms to choose from, I had a nice room with a king bed, a claw foot tub and separate shower. All was very clean and quite comfortable (except the desk chair, but another chair served for the laptop work). Low key heritage decoration and a nice lounge/kitchen area. The hosts were professional. The first morning I had to leave early and they provided a cold breakfast I could help myself to., The breakfast the next day was quite nice. (Note – the Inn was up for sale when I was there, so…). Although I did not use it, there was a lovely seating area in the garden. Parking was convenient and included in the price.nnI would choose to stay here again, it was conveniently located, a very pleasant stay and quite reasonable in price. Well done, hosts. Note: No pets, older children only).

  5. Lovely B&B with Great Hosts

     (5 / 5)

We stayed with hosts Jake and Joy for three nights and loved the place. Very large and airy rooms, king beds, super clean, nice common areas with seating and access to coffee, fridge, etc. Great breakfast – excellent homemade goodies – scones and bread topped my list! Excellent conversation about all kinds of topics with the hosts who are very knowledgeable about the area and places to eat etc. Jake – we loved the story of the ‘steam pipe’! We were particularly impressed with Joy and Jake’s community work; they are located close to Kelowna Hospital and offer accommodation to families of hospital patients at rates quite reduced from the booking.com type of pricing. Great ‘paying it forward’ action.

  6. Home away from home!

     (5 / 5)

Being thrust into an unfamiliar city when my mother was requireing medical attention for an extended period of time was intimidating and unsettling. After spending a night in a seedy hotel in a less that desirable part of town we happened upon this beautiful home. The owners made our stay incredibly comfortable in their wonderfully peacful and incredibly clean home. We awoke every morning to a hot breakfast often using fruit and vegetables from their own garden! Jake and Joy went above and beyond for our family, often asking how we were all coping, telling a joke to lighten the mood or just sending a smile our way. Five Stars for cleanliness, service and location!!!

  7. Road Trip 2018

Well, I can’t thank Jake and Joy enough for such an amazing stay, they made us feel like part of the family and we could of definitely stayed longer. The room was great with our own ensuite. Joy made delicious breakfasts both mornings and also the kitchen was stocked if you wanted tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Also we were able to store some of our own food in the fridge. The house was welcoming and they had some sofas in the small seating area and you could relax there if you wanted. Both Joy and Jake were very helpful with directions and any other information we had. Jake was also very kind to look at my car, as my engine light came on while driving to Kelowna, thankfully nothing was serious 🙂 nThank you Jake and Joy, if I am ever in Kelowna I will come and stay with you 🙂

  8. Quite a find.

     (5 / 5)

We stayed two nights on a road trip from Vancouver to Calgary and we are so pleased we chose the Chesterfield. Joy and Jake are great hosts, the rooms are beautiful, quiet and cool.nWe were able to walk into town for dinner and a lovely harbour walk took us through a wild life area where we saw ospreys and muskrat.nThe wineries are well worth a visit, we chose Mission Hill and loved it.nThank you both again for a great stay.

  9. First-rate B&B for friendliness and accessibility

     (5 / 5)

We spent four nights at the Chesterfield Inn in June 2018. My wife uses a wheelchair; accessible accommodation is hard to locate, and often what is advertised as accessible is far from. Not here. Jake and Joy have built their B&B with touches such as 36′ doors, under-sink accessibility, a roll-in shower, a bedroom large enough to allow easy mobility, and stair-free travel from bedroom to kitchen to front door. Comments elsewhere praising the friendliness and food are all accurate. The B&B is quiet, fastidiously clean, and furnished with antiques and little touches that make it your home away. It’s close to the hospital, downtown, beaches, a myriad of restaurants, yet it somehow retains an aura of quaint. We’re so pleased we found this absolute gem.

  10. A little Gem

     (4 / 5)

Property was easy to find. Jake greeted us upon arrival and was kind enough to help us with our bags. Joy handled the paperwork and filled us in about the area, where to eat, directions and the usual things you want to know (a hint-Joy loves shopping and knows all the best places so pick her brain if you’re into shopping)nWe had a quaint room with twin beds and an ensuite, it was perfect for our one night stay. Facilities were very clean, the house has great furnishings which add to the decor. nThey were kind enough to let us have a peek into their other rooms which were not booked. Always nice to see if making a return visit. nThe kitchen was stocked if you wanted to make tea or coffee, it also included a small seating area with couches if you wanted to socialize or flip through a magazine. There was also a small book area if you were looking for a paperback and a shuffleboard if you were up for a game. nBreakfast consisted of juice/tea/coffee a fruit parfait, muffin and an egg wrap, yummy. nThis is an excellent location if you have someone in the Kelowna hospital and you need a place to stay as it is a five minute walk and would also save you from paying for hospital parking. nIf in Kelowna again would be my number one place to stay. Thanks Jake and Joy for your hospitality, it was much appreciated.
