conveniently located if you can stand the outdoor music that drones all day.npleasant helpful staff.nroom was spacious and had a king bed which was very comfortable with higher end linens.nthe cleaning staff could have been more attentive. No soap or clean towels one morning, floor was not washed well after snowy wet boots were left there.nSink and toilet could use a good scrub.

  2. Great Family Food

Went here with the whole family for my sister’s birthday while staying up at Silver Star in the summer. After a long day at the IPE, we were very hungry, and the food did not disappoint! Great portions, tasty, classy food. Caesar salads, burgers, club sandwiches all a hit! Very cool atmosphere- cozy and welcoming for any time of the year! Great appies too ! Does not feel like a bar scene and is wonderful.

  3. Great Stay

We came in August for the biking. Don’t expect luxury, but great value for the price you pay. Front staff very helpful and accommodating. It’s a fun little hotel with unique decor. Our room was clean, and large enough to fit our two bikes in there (They do have a locker to lock up your bikes, but we chose to store them in our room). No A/C, but we had a fan that kept us cool. The water pressure when showering was the best we’ve ever bad! There’s a restaurant/bar attached that had good food and you get a discount off your bill for staying in the hotel which was nice. Our server was great! Location was perfect… the office to purchase lift passes was just a few steps away, parking is right beside the hotel, and the trail to get to the lift was just a minute bike ride away. There was a bike washing station close by as well.nOverall, we would highly recommend this spot.

  4. Good stay

Good hotel, very nice front desk clerk and free specialty coffee in morning. Was able to get ice for the cooler from the bar which was nice. All in all a good, clean room at a good price. Silver Star is a very nice resort area however is a good 20-30 minute drive from Vernon on a steep and very winding road. I didn’t enjoy driving it late at night.

  5. Amazing Service

After riding Silver Star my husband and I made a last min decision to stay overnight. nThere were several properties to choose from but once we met Katalena at the Bullsog reception desk we didn’t look any further. She could not have been more accommodating. Judging by the price we braced ourselves for a simple u201chostelu201d type experience and we couldn’t have been more wrong. The room was immaculate, the bedding and pillows lovely and soft – the bed itself was very very comfortable. We enjoyed an amazing meal at the pub attached (be sure to have the tenderloin – totally worth it) and in the morning there was excellent coffee as well as home baked bread and muffins. The next day Katalena went out of her way to accommodate a late check out for me while my husband rode Beowulf. All in all it was a fantastic experience. First class service

  6. Good location, basic but clean accommodation

I visited the Bulldog in May which is definitely a shoulder season. There was still a bit of snow on the ground. Crews were tidying up after another successful winter season. Most of the restaurants and stores were closed; those remaining were dealing with conference attendees (like me) and getting ready for the mountain bike summer events. The Bulldog Hotel reminded me of a place that four young people would share when they were focused on the snow or the bike terrain. There is an adjacent restaurant and pub. It is only steps away for the lift ticket kiosk. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The big plus is that it was very clean. Had it not been for that, I likely would not have stayed. Comfy bed, nice white sheets and towels. No complaints there. Activity murals were painted on the hall walls. Art was screwed to the walls. My room had a lovely dog collar painted over hooks on the wall. Let’s just say the Bulldog has character. If this hotel meets your needs and your budget, it is a good bet.

  7. Friendly and eclectic

I’ve just had the opportunity to spend the last two nights at the bulldog. If you’re looking for a pretentious, modern hotel with marble counters, this is not your place. However if you’re looking for friendly and clean you’ll enjoy your stay as much as I did. All room amenities were spot on; clean room, comfortable bed, lots of hot water and a great view up the mountain. It is just all really laid back with great hiking just outside the door; a great way to shake off city vibes!
