  1. Nice lake campsite

Stayed here just two nights while we checked out the Vernon location. The site was clean and quiet. Showers were basic but clean. $1 for 5 minutes There is use of boats and a small dock to swim off. Wifi was good. Could phone my Mum on skype in the uk with great reception.

  2. Super schu00f6ner Campingplatz

     (5 / 5)

Einfach toll, macht weiter so!!!

  3. Overnight versus a holiday destination

     (3 / 5)

We were disappointed in the campground. It might be okay for those on the road that need an overnight stop instead of staying longer. Here’s why…The washrooms were not attended to regularly and no one was available at the office to speak to. Only one women’s toilet had a small bit of TP available on Saturday and most of Sunday. I had to call on Sunday, in the afternoon (long distance for me) to ask that toilet paper be stocked. The garbage in the women’s room was not emptied all week. I had shoulder surgery and was removing a bandage to shower daily which is how I know this. I appreciated that one of the two ladies room showers was working u2013 and that the timer and temperature seemed accurate. My husband said both showers in the men’s room were operational. The wifi was non-existent on any of the logins provided….although we know this is quite common in parks across BC. The lake is beautiful but the place looked like they were still preparing for summer. We hope they make improvements for campers in the coming weeks.

  4. Love this place

     (5 / 5)

This is our family’s favourite campground! Its very clean, quiet, location is great – close to city but still secluded enough to feel nature and outdoors. Loved the free use of boats, loved that the tents can be really close to the water. We go here almost every year and whenever we can.

  5. August camp at Swan Lake RV Park & Campground

     (3 / 5)

This was our last stop on an RV tour from Vancouver to Banff and back. We loved the location but found that the site needed a bit of maintenance (wash rooms were a little shabby), and it had a general feel of being in need of some TLC (tender loving care!!) Having said that we had a great night here, we made the most of the free to hire canoes and paddle boats, and the site owner was helpful and made us feel welcome.

  6. AWESOME CAMPSITE!

We came in with a 34′ Wi ebago, requested a lakeside site. Full Hook-up, Wifi has a better co ection closer to the entrance of the campground where we were. Not a lot of rules, especially for the dogs, no extra charges for pets or cars. We stayed 7 nights and got one night free. Economical for sure. We paid 288.00 for a one week stay. Beautiful & Quiet. Owners are very friendly & helpful. There are showers as well as a laundry facility, 2 bucks a load or pay 3.00 and get the use of the dryer. Owners are building a house on property, and there is a park host trailer as well. Free use of row boats, peddle & canoes with life jackets. There is a dock for boats. There is a platform out on the water you can swim or boat too…as well as a slide platform so you can go down the slide into the water. Each site has their own picnic table. There is a gazebo and a covered seating area by the water. Lots of ducks and a resident very large Goose that likes to hang out, you can even pet him, he is very tame. Close to Swan Lake Nursery and not far from town for shopping. I would definitely come back to this one and request a lakefront site every time! BOOK HERE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

  7. My favourite campground

     (5 / 5)

Swan Lake campground is the best so far that we have been to. Well maintained, very caring and helpful owners. Clean washrooms too. Very quiet and safe environment for kids to play and roam around. The use of boats for free makes their campground and unique with everyone else. Perfect location, very close to the city if you need to buy stuff or even eat at the restaurants yet very private and secluded that makes you feel camping in a remote lakeside area. Tents in front of the lake is the best for me! We keep coming back here every year! Surely recommends to everyone!

  8. Spring Camping

     (5 / 5)

This campground is located at 7235 Old Kamloops Road in Vernon, BCnThis campground came under new ownership in 2016. The new owners have their own accommodation on the property and are doing a great job. They have made many improvements and more are to come. This was always a wonderful campground and they are making it even better. They are always there to assist you if you need them. It is a wonderful family campground right on Swan Lake. They have a full hookups as well as a tenting area and a wonderful lake view. There is a boat dock and no charge to launch your boat, a swimming area and free use of paddle boats and life jackets. There is also Wifi and they allow friendly pets on leash. A good portion of the park has wonderful shade trees. The washrooms have coin showers and are very clean always and there is also a Laundromat.. If you like wildlife you will see geese, ducks, falcons, eagles, and cranes. It is only a short drive into town if you need groceries or want to go shopping, enjoy some great ice cream or drop in at Tim Hortons. The Ricky’s Restaurant has excellent food too. Its a short drive around the lake to Swan Lake Nursery where you will find great plants, flowers and trees, awesome water fountains, a convenient grocery, wonderful fruits and vegetables in season, a bakery, tea room and some wonderful nick knacks. We love dropping in here. Just across the road from this is Atlantis Waterslides and people come from near and far to enjoy these. This is a great place for a holiday.

  9. Tru00e8s agru00e9able fin de semaine parmi la nature

     (4 / 5)
