  1. Sundance

An absolutely amazing place to stay for families. The staff are fantastic and accomodate your every need. Rooms are cleaned daily and always maintained. It’s in a great location and close to everything. Staff are more than happy to drive you to the villiage if you need them to. We had a great room that had a kitchen two bathrooms and a washing machine and dryer, which is very handy. I would highly recommend Sundance to anyone looking to stay at Big White. It is by far the best place we have stayed in throughout our travels.

  2. Ski holiday

Brilliant 2week ski holiday with young familynGreat mountain for kids to learn and all types of terrain for everyonenSundance facilities are brilliant for families especially the hot tubs and pool!nStaff very helpfulnSki in / outn

  3. Relatively nice place well located. People were nice and room clean.

     (3 / 5)

Overall good but lack of onsite restaurant or even coffee shop meant had to go to village for anything. Also hot tub either wasn’t clean or over chlorinated as we all got rashes and very itchy for hours after spending time in it. We had to go buy stuff at grocery store just to stop itching. Service was good and staff nice. Might stay again but only if get really good deal and definitely won’t use hot tub again.

  4. Great service but noisy

     (4 / 5)

We stayed at Sundance for 10 days at it was great, because we only had neighbours 2 days (more about this later).nRoom was cleaned every day, service wagon with chips and coffe every day. Bus to take os where evere we wanted in town for free. Spa, billard and ski-in-ski-out.nPerfect hard beds: beds are individual and not to discuss. eighbour noise: it is possible to hear everything from the neighbours, even when they eat. We only had neighbours for 2 nights out of 10. Otherwise I would only give one (1) star in this review.

  5. Good hotel - Ticks Lots of Boxes

     (4 / 5)

We are currently staying at the Sundance Resort at Big White, February 2018 for 7 nights. In a 1 bedroom suite. For the two of us, its perfect for our needs. The room is adequately sized, good kitchen facilities, good sitting area and good sized bedroom. Plus a washer/dryer; the dryer being a must after skiing. We booked through Big White central reservations. Absolutely no issues. All correspondence prior to arrival was answered promptly and to our satisfaction. Everything was ready for us on arrival at the hotel; lift tickets, ski rental vouchers and lots of info on the hotel and Big White. Staff has been extremely friendly and willing to do anything for us. WestJet lost one piece of our luggage (coming from Toronto ……nice one WestJet). Baggage services at Kelowna airport knew about it on arrival, encouraged us to get up to Big White and they would ensure the bag was on the next shuttle up to the mountain. Which they did. Central reservations and hotel staff called us several times to keep us posted and brought the bag to our room on its arrival. Thanks for that!!! I’ve read a few reviews complaining about uncomfortable beds. Not the case in our room; the bed was very very comfortable. Our room (203) faces the mountain; not much to see other than massive snow banks. There are a few draw backs: – Temperature – This seemed to be another common problem. I still can’t figure out how to control the heat in our room. There is a thermostat in the main living area, but, that seems to only control a blower in the fireplace….which is adequate for when we are sitting there. There is electric heat in the bathroom and bedroom on separate thermostats. Night one we had the heat on in our bedroom and we cooked. Night two we turned all heat of in the entire room. At -22 outside I thought we would freeze. We cooked. The only comfort we found was all heat off and the window cracked slightly. Worked, but, see the next draw back. Pathway Noise – Our room faces the mountain. The walking path to the village runs right past our room. With a window cracked its a guaranteed wake up call in the early morning as sauced people work their way back from the village. A room higher up or a room on the other side might fix this. Or more stable heating! Noise – In general no major complaints. But, walls and floors are paper thin so you’re going to have to deal with noise. Fortunately, we didn’t have too many late night issues. Dated – The du00e9cor is a bit dated. To us it really didn’t matter since we came to ski and enjoy the mountain. Nothing was worn or torn like some other review reported. Everything was clean and in great shape. The fireplace is one of those pictures of flames vs. gas; bit cheesy. Distance from Village – We’re about a 15 minute walk from the village. Along a snow covered pathway with a few ups and downs. No complaints but, if there is a next time we might consider something a bit closer. All that said, there are a lot of upsides to Sundance besides those I’ve already mentioned. There is a hotel shuttle thats a mobile call away. We’ve used it once after we picked up our skis in the village and food/wine; very easy, prompt and friendly. Ski in/out is easy. Good lockers for ski storage. The place seems very family friendly; there are just the two of us so we’re not taking advantage of hot tubs (we’re not the human soup types), movie theatre, games room; but they are here. All in all, a very positive experience at Sundance.

  6. Awesome Stay at Sundance, Big White

     (5 / 5)

We stayed in Sundance at Big White in January 2018 for 10 days. The service was so good. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. If we needed anything in our room it would be sent up within minutes. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit. No 326, and it was very well equiped. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook for yourselves, a coffee maker, oven, dishwasher and kettle. Perfect! We had lovely views over the valley, which meant when we awoke we could have a look outside to see how clear the sky was and how much snow had fallen. One of the most amazing things was the Sundance Shuttle which you could call from the village to get a lift home. I ca ot express in words quite how great this service was. The young men who drove it were so friendly and helpful. This is such a plus after a huge day on the slopes and you haven’t got the energy to walk another step!! If I was to find any fault in the hotel, it would be that I would have it to have an in-house cafe/bar/restaurant… but there are plenty of options in the village. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so magical!

  7. Lots of amenities for kids

     (3 / 5)

Very friendly staff and spectacular views. However the rooms are tired. A renovation is due! Paper thin walls, so certainly not conducive to sitting in your room and chatting with friends after midnight!! However the movie room, billiards room and large meeting rooms are excellent for families

  8. Amazing!

     (5 / 5)

Stayed in an explorer cabin! Everything was top notch! The best powder, great family atmosphere and so much to do. The beds in the cabins are ultra comfortable and it was nice having your own private hot tub. We can’t wait to come back!

  9. Comfortable, Clean and Great Service

     (4 / 5)

We stayed with two other families and enjoyed our clean and comfortable, 1 bedroom suite. Resort is great for kids- playroom and movie room were a bonus. However- limited time on hot tub and pool was one downfall. The hot tub should at least be opened earlier. Shuttle was super easy to use and always available. Friendly and helpful drivers. We will stay again.

  10. Old but Comfortable

     (3 / 5)

We stayed at Sundance for four nights. The rooms were old and run down. They were still comfortable though. The beds were absolutely horrible (they were very hard). The pullout lounge was like sleeping on a rock with metal poking out of it. We did manage to get a foam mattress to put on the pullout lounge. The quilt on the bed was ripped and the quilt on the pullout lounge had stains on it. The pool was a little cold (if you came out of the hot tub) but the waterslide was awesome (considering most resorts at ski resorts don’t have a waterslide). The family hot tub was packed every night so it isn’t worth it unless you like sitting in a hot tub with strangers. However we did manage to get it to ourselves for about 15 minutes. The staff were friendly but it took a while for them to respond to our requests. The ski in ski out location is great and on a clear day the views are wonderful from the pool deck.
