  1. Something Unique about this Place

     (3 / 5)

We have been coming to the Safari Beach for over 25 years. We are usually up here for Canada Day. We are here with the same families from all over Western Canada and have come to know this group as friends. The kids that were going out late and drinking years are now having kids of their own. Our daughter has grown up knowing that this is a regular vacation for her and has her ‘summer’ friends here as well. nThe resort itself isn’t anything special. The rooms are average (when compared to what you pay), the amenities are few (a couple of small pools) and kitchens that are ‘OK’ on a good day – BUT the beach is amazing, there are BBQs everywhere and it is one of the few places with a private beach in Osoyoos. If you have a boat, there is moorage. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains are beautiful. The new management is getting better. We mostly come for the friends and family that are there with us and not the amazing rooms. It is not the cleanest or the best value, but we keep coming back.

  2. A great experience

I surprised my wife by booking a room at this lovely resort for our a iversary. We had the most relaxing Thanksgiving weekend. The room (#110) was clean with no problems at all. It was very quiet and hopefully we will try and stay there more often just to unwind from the hustle and bustle of Kelowna

  3. No so fair

What can I say. Let’s start with a positive spin. You ca ot get a better location. The water is dirty but you are in an inlet so you ca ot expect better especially in a popular area. I actually saw sludge in the water. I love to swim but I decided the pool was going to have to do. nThe sand in front of the unit was well cared for and racked, practically every day. nThe surrounding mountains were very serene and truly sculpted.nI love to cook good healthy meals, so the stove and the apartment sized fridge was a real bonus for me.nMy complaint are as follows: No Internet what so ever. o apology or compensation.nThe front desk clerk said it must be my computer because no one else was having problems. nYes I paid $20. 00 to have my computern diagnosed at a small Internet shop in Osoyoos. Nothing wrong with my computer. I asked my neighbor if she was having no co ection with the WiFi. nShe was also without Internet service. The condo resort requires a modem in every room, not some router on the beach outside. Sometimes you have to pay out money to have good Internet service. o instructions on how to operate DVDnor TV. Poor cleaning service. If you are absent from your room the male house cleaner will put some fresh towels on your toilet and take out the garbage, that’s all. o coffee or soap. Or cleaning of any kind. nIn and out as fast as possible. nLoud yelling and screaming at all hours of the night wee into the morning. nThis resort cateres to young people and young family’s. Not for older facts. Lovely resort and well equipped. othing is ever as good as your own homenWould recommend this resort to morenMature people in the off season.n

  4. Always a great place to stay!

  5. The owners are lucky they have an excellent location but that is about it

     (5 / 5)

Our room is renovated but the maintenance is lacking and they don’t have proper cleaning products so you can clean it yourself, There is a lot of sand that comes into the suite and you don’t even get a proper broom or dust pan to pick it up. They don’t change your sheets or clean your bed they only thing they offer if they remember is to change your towels and give you clean dishcloths and towels. It is best for families with small children because at 10 pm they want everyone inside their uncomfortable suites to spend the rest of the night. They do not waver from this. We got shushed a few times before we just gave up and went to bed even if we were not tired. It is like military camp. Not fun for teenagers to say the least. Wont plan on going back after 7 years, Unless the management changes. By the way you get shushed for laughing too loud or raising your voice when you are telling a story. Too bad, It used to be fun.

  6. Great Location

     (5 / 5)

If you want a unique place right on osoyoos lake this is the spot. The only downside is it gets booked up fast especially for summer months. Osoyoos has lots to offer and right in the heart of wine country. This is a great home base to tour the area. Safari is a strata development of a converted motel. Some of the units are spectacular. Bonus. Right on the lake !! Clean and comfortable. Lots of barbecues too for outdoor dining.

  7. May Long Weekend

     (4 / 5)

Love this place. Lakefront, kid friendly, and clean. We always meet a few other families and the set up of outdoor tables allows us to eat together in a large group. Wine tours are always top of the list of favourite things to do as well as biking and lounging by the pool. Coming back again this year.

  8. Great location and nice decks for barbecues

A ual golf trip to Osoyoos and again stayed at Safari Beach resort. Nice to sit out on the beach or decks. Lots of opportunities for games on the beach. Rooms well stocked for everything you need. Staff is excellent from checking in and out and room cleaning. Highly recommend staying here.
