  1. Located in a beautiful, natural, serene environment with amazing lake views!

This property is a great deal! The condo (villa) had a huge updated kitchen, large terrace over looking the lake, a fireplace, huge bathroom and was super clean. The location is so nice-quiet-right on the lake. The drive there is also amazing-with bighorn sheep on the cliffs and deer all over the place. The Front Desk ladies are super friendly and were always eager to help. Once my Mother in Law forgot her key and walked there and they drove her back down in a gold cart so she didn’t have to walk alone in the dark back down to her condo. Great Service!! Great place to stay outside of the busy city in Nature! Will be coming back in Spring when the pool and tiki bar is open! Can’t wait for that!

  2. mini vacation

     (4 / 5)

3 bedroom spacious comfortable condo. Overlooking the lake, area has many outdoor possibilities, lots of trails, a playground for smaller children. Being an off season November week, the resort was very quiet. Six of us (3 adults and 3 children) thoroughly enjoyed our mini-vacation in Kelowna which offers shopping and other tourist activities in the surrounding area. The resort is about 25 minutes drive from downtown along the lake with sections of windy roads. If one is looking for an ulta-modern unit, this is not for you, but if one wishes a family friendly vacation, this destination would be one to consider.

  3. Charming town, stu ing views, lovely area

     (4 / 5)

This was our first trip to this area so there was a lot to see and enjoy. The unit we stayed in at the Lake Okanagan Resort was old and not refurbished. That aside, we had a fabulous time walking the trails right out the door and driving to neighboring quaint towns along the water and the wineries in the area. The resort is off the beaten path (which we really liked) so anything you wanted to do required at least a 20-30 minute drive but day trips to interesting areas is totally doable. In other words, you will need a car unless you plan to stay at the resort the whole time (which you couldn’t do once the restaurants close in October).

  4. Suites are dated but clean and spacious.

We were quite worried based on the negative reviews. However, I think a lot of people are just complaining because they like to complain. The resort is only a 2 star, but people seem to have expected 5 star and shiny new accomodations.1. the units in the 3 bedroom condos are dated. they are clean though, and very spacious.2. there isn’t a boil water advisory anymore3. the road construction is complete – also, the resort does not own the road. So ignore the people whining about it. It’s also narrow and winding….like a mountain road! shocker. And, yes, it’s a long drive…just like you will already know when you look up where the resort is on google maps.4. the gym is not bad for a hotel gym. has most of what you would need. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but both looked good.5. the resort is a seasonal resort, so restaurants are not open in off season, and the store just has a few miscellaneous items – bring groceries on your way in (note point number 3).6. There were some bugs that came in through patio door cracks (I assume). These are common in forested areas and especially in the cedars outside the patio. They are NOT cockroaches. Just take them outside or squish them – whatever floats your boat. Please note that you are not in the middle of a city out here.7. I’m sure the staff deal with a ton of cranky whiny guests who are angry that this isn’t a shiny new 5 star resort. Keep in mind the staff do not OWN the resort and are not the ones responsible for how dated the place is, or whether amenities are open. Don’t be a jerk and the staff won’t be.8. If the lack of a water trampoline is going to absolutely RUIN your vacation, then maybe you need a reality check. There’s a pool, a lake, and a ton of space to run and play. Your kids should be happy.9. chill out and enjoy the beautiful location on your vacation to this resort!

  5. Past its prime

     (3 / 5)

This resort is situated on the beautiful lake okanagan, opposite of Kelowna, BC. Lovely views of the lake abound. Other than the views, the whole resort could use a face lift. I also don’t think anyone maintains the trails that they say you can go adventure on. Everything is overgrown. Our room was probably last updated in the 80’s maybe 90’s. The bed is no longer supportive. The shower is less than powerful, the stove is uneven the knives are sadly dull. Don’t move the couch or use the hideabed, it’s full of crumbs from the last guests. The curtain that blocks the early morning sun has cracks and holes in it and be very careful when you open it, it could break off. The dishwasher worked very nicely. But you only get 4 packets of soap for week. And one dishtowel. It was a nice getaway, it was quiet and peaceful and relaxing. The fact that all these little things stood out made it more work than a real getaway.
