La Frenz Winery

La Frenz Winery

We are located on the beautiful Naramata Bench in the heart of the Okanangan Valley. At LA FRENZ, we believe the quality in the bottle begins in the vineyard. Cutting edge and meticulous vineyard practices are used in combination with varieties tailored to the unique soils and micro climates of our vineyard sites to produce the vibrant and intense grape characters found only in the Okanagan Valley. The potential of the resulting fruit, using experience and careful stewardship throughout the vinification process, is maintained and enhanced to create exceptional wines that truly reflect the grape variety and vineyard site. We welcome you to our unique wine shop overlooking Lake Okanagan. This spectacular view was featured on the $100 banknote from 1954 to 1975. From April through October, we are open daily, 10am to 5pm for tastings and purchases. Join us on our patio for a seated tasting experience or sample at the tasting bar. Seating is limited so reservations are encouraged. We do require advance reservations for groups of 8 or more.

  1. Too Long...

I like La Frenz wines, and always buy several bottles when I visit the winery. However, their new tasting format is not enjoyable. You have to make a reservation, and the tasting takes way too long! When we visited last month, there didn’t seem to be enough staff to look after everyone, so it took almost 40 minutes to try a small flight of wines. I much prefer the old walk-in, belly up to the tasting bar, try, buy, and leave format. I guess I just prefer a more spontaneous, casual approach.

  2. One of our best tasting experiences

The woman leading us through our tastings was warm and engaging and clearly passionate about the wines. It was infectious.

  3. Stop here for wine!

Grand Total Reserve is a world class wine. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and Janice was a wonderful host. Unfortunately it was very smokey today due to wildfires much further north, so we didn’t get to experience the view.

The Queen would be advised to try this on her bedside table. She would be very pleased with this wine, toast to the Queen!nMissing a spot to enjoy some cheese or a bit of food with her wine.

  7. Judi was great!

Second time visiting this winery now and we’ve come to realize that we’d hapily drink anything from this label. There are some seriously good wines and it is one of the only wineries where we’ve bought multiple types of wine. Our service was exceptional and we felt Judi went out of her way to make our experience personal and unique. A small tip: make sure you’ve got a comfortable amount of time to spend here. It’s not an in and out dash but a sit down and savour the experience type of place with a long list of wines to try and two different tasting menus.
