Hotel Eldorado

Hotel Eldorado

The Hotel Eldorado has been part of BC’s destination hotel resort experience since 1926. It is a story of Austrian blue bloods and thrilling vacations, a story of a famous honour bar and Olympic rowers, a story of London cabs and dog shows. From the beginning, it has always been a story of unique hospitality, social events and a welcome that knows no borders. It was then what it is today; a singularly unique social and vacation experience set in one of Canada’s most spectacular destinations, the Okanagan Valley. 300 kilometres from the Lower Mainland in the BC Interior and an easy flight from all major airports, the Hotel Eldorado is located on the shores of Okanagan Lake. For those who have travelled in other countries, you will recognize that this place is one of the most scenic in the world. The Hotel Eldorado is as storied as our town and all those who have graced our doors since 1926. It is a gem and we all look forward to welcoming you to The El.

  1. Good service

We when this place last year and come back this time again, so nice here. We enjoy so much and would be more time to stay here, the people friendly and good take.nEverything is great we really happy and highly recommend here

  2. elegance, lake views, value, all in one package

     (5 / 5)

We are locals (live across the lake about 20 miles away) but have stayed here a few times in the past few years while attending functions at the hotel. At check in, we were offered a lake view upgrade and it was well worth it. We stayed in the Heritage part of the hotel ( as opposed to the new tower – Eldorado Arms ). King bed, mini fridge, balcony, great views, strong wifi, wonderful experience. And not the high price you might expect from a hotel that is considered a historical landmark for the area. We didn’t visit the restaurant but we have in the past and it is excellent – famous for it’s sunday brunch. While not exactly central, it is a quick and scenic 10 minute drive to downtown, if you are visiting for a concert or hockey game etc. Parking is free.

  3. Last Minute Stay

My wife and I stayed with your property last week, and i would like to mention a few things. We have stayed multiple times at the EL and twice in the summer. Now I just wanted to say I understand how busy summertime gets, but both times we stayed (once in June and once in July) we did not have the guest experience we were hoping for. The front desk staff were – stiff and un-welcoming to say the least. We were unsure if we should return again but being it our favorite hotel in Kelowna we thought we would try it one more time. We were absolutely astounded at the amazing service we received! the front desk staff were warm welcome & truly seemed to care about us. The lady Jordie was very informative, and helpful from the start. We dealt with her twice and were impressed both times. The lobby was also very busy and did not seem to faze her in the slightest. There was also a very nice young man we dealt with when we checked out i think his name was Denis – she was also very friendly and nice. nnI twas refreshing and a relief to see that some new staff have come in and treating us better than we would have imagine. We will be continuing to come to the EL to eat and stay!

  4. Perfect spot for engagement weekend!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I booked a one night stay for my fiancu00e9 and I after proposing to her earlier that evening, and it was perfect in every way. The staff were able to help me with everything I needed, and allowed me to check-in early, and check-out late no problem at all. The room / balcony view of the lake was breathtaking, and the Sunday brunch buffet was probably the best meal I’ve had in my entire life. 10/10 would recommend every time.

  5. Excellent Hotel on the Lake

     (5 / 5)

Loved this hotel. I was here for a conference. It had comfortable beds, a beautifully warm pool, a fitness room, hot tub and steam room, and each room had lots of character. The hotel is right on the lake with beautiful views from the dining room.

  6. Era 1926 modified

     (4 / 5)

Property has been well cared for, continuous upgrades ongoing, enjoyed my stay. If you are able to book the upper floors, being an original I noticed the sound reasonates excessively and after an hr or so can get annoying. Found the staff at all levels to be helpful, curtious, all wanting to give a 100% effort. Hardwood floors and cork flooring along with original roomnfeatures, upgraded windows, juliette balaconies, super comfortable bed topper. The only thing I might recommend is the menu, too much of the same. I will be back

  7. A stunning location

     (5 / 5)

Located a ten minute drive south of downtown Kelowna, the Hotel Eldorado has a spectacular setting right along the shores of Lake Okanagan. The main building was built back in 1926 and retains much of its original charm with beautiful wood flooring, huge windows overlooking the lake and a spectacular lakeside deck for dining or just hanging out (the sunsets are amazing). Most of the rooms are located in the adjacent ‘The Arms’ building. It can be accessed from the main building but getting to one of the upper floors is a little awkward. My room (428) was on the corner and while it didn’t have a lake view it was very large with two king beds, large windows and a huge bathroom. It was very quiet, impeccably clean and comfortable. This is a great spot to stay particularly if yo just wish to hang out away from the bustle of central Kelowna.
