  1. If only all IHG hotels were as good as this one with staff to match

My wife and I checked into the Holiday I Express and Suites on Monday 12th November, we were greeted by a lovely lady Pam who checked us in and upgraded us to the 4th Floor, she was delightful. After checking in I had a problem with my lap top and after taking it down to see Pam, a gentleman called Shawn came from the back room and immediately sorted the problem for me. During all our time at the hotel Pam was great fun and also seemed to be determined to make our stay a memorable one. With the weather and the walks around Osoyoos as well as the view from our 4th Floor Balcony room we could not have been looked after better had we been royalty. My wife and I wish to convey our personal thanks to Pam, Shawn and other members of staff for looking after us so well. It is our intention to return to this delightful place once again.

  2. Great location, clean and comfortable. Sunrise or sunset on their peninsula is recommended.

Stayed in October 2018. We picked lakeside suite which featured a very comfy new queen bed, a second bedroom with a full/twin bunk, a kitchen, and a walk-out patio to the lake. Condition and amenities were fine – well above average, as expected for a Holiday I . The facility is not new and the rooms are not big, but it is well maintained, well equipped, spotlessly and clean. When I was out on the beach I could hear a party in the room above mine, but inside it was silent. Top marks for the staff – everyone was very attentive, welcoming, professional, and genuine. That really helps make for a great stay. Note the facility is repairing and upgrading their facilities on the peninsula, which is pictured in their photos, probably through the spring of 2019. If you are adventurous, you may still make your way out there and enjoy the peace of the sunrise over the hills on lake. I got in too late for the sunset To be clear, the peninsula and marina are closed for the winter season, but the beach is open for a walk. A bonus in older hotels is finding a big pool, that you can actually swim in. HVAC is a pool room is little noisy but that was not a bother, the water was clean and warm. Did not eat there, but got take out drinks. Very polite service in the restaurant. We ate in town – there are a number of interesting spots within a short walk or drive.

  3. A Great Stay.. made better by the great people

     (5 / 5)

We were greeted immediately by Pam (an HI Treasure). She got us settled into a beautiful upgraded room with a gorgeous view of Osoyoos Lake. Also, offered us complimentary breakfasts and drinks. She was beyond helpful and pleasant (even though the previous guest was very rude to her-I commend her extreme patience!!)nEverything we requested, she happily made happen. She even accepted some Bear Sausage from us for breakfast. What a trooper!!nWe have been to this location before and had a great time and I guarantee we will be back. Thank you so much!

  5. Perfectly situated and reasonably priced

My wife and I were on a week long road trip ending in Osoyoos before the final stretch home to central Washington. Booked one day ahead from out previous location and requested a standard king room. Arriving at the hotel, we were told there were no more standard kings so we were upgraded to a king suite. The advantage of being an IHG Spire Elite member, I guess. Nevertheless, the hotel is situated right on Lake Osoyoos and if you’re on the north side of the hotel, you’ll have a beautiful view of the lake. The south side will give you a view of the road in front of the hotel (plus the noise) and the lake beyond.nThe room was clean and well appointed and the king bed was very comfortable. This hotel has an onsite restaurant and doesn’t offer a free continental breakfast, so be prepared to pay. They do however offer a number of amenities for guests…indoor hot tub and pool, kayaks, BBQs on the patio, etc. We were at the very tail end of the season and I suspect it is pretty busy in the summer, so you should book well in advance. nThis was our first visit to the area and really liked it. Looking ahead, I would definitely book this hotel again. If you’ve stayed in a Holiday I , you know what to expect.nThe only negative about the room we stayed in? The toilet paper holder was hung on the wall about three feet from the toilet! Plan ahead!

  6. Great rooms, great staff

     (5 / 5)

Walked up looking for a room. Asked for water view and was upgraded at no extra charge. Super clean two bedroom suite with the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. I will stay there again.

  7. great hotel

     (5 / 5)

we love the location of the hotel, right on top of the water. The staff is excellant. They worked over the top to ensure we enjoyed our stay The breakfast that was included was excellant. Too much even

  8. Lots of young adults

     (5 / 5)

We had a long wait to get to the counter to check in. Not sure if this is normal or if the young males were having a stag party. Place was pretty quiet considering. The restaurant was fine the service was great but I think it is time for the whole hotel to have a face lift.

  9. BBQ on the beach

     (4 / 5)

n+: A nice feature was the BBQ available on the beach. You could bring your meat (fridge in the room) and make your own burger on the beach.nGuests could rent for free Kayaks.nIt is perfect for family with young kids. Very shallow water. – : Was a bit dated, very small bathroom and WiFi was terriblen

  10. Busy resort town

     (3 / 5)

This was practically the last room available among recognizable hotels when we decided to drive through Osoyoos. So let’s just say we were happy to find a place. Friendly front desk staff. Room was clean. Beds seem new. Bathrooms very small. We were located in he oddest wing of the place that seemed like a former area for meeting rooms. Strange to get to. Offers free breakfast and it was ok.. better than some places that serve horrible powdered egg concoctions. But don’t expect high end here. Service at restaurant was friendly. n
