We had an excellent stay and breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again! The room was warm and perfectly decorated. The service was wonderful and felt very homey. It’s clear the owners are very passionate about their business and guests.

  4. Cozy B&B!

We had a lovely weekend stay at Hillcrest B&B. The room was quiet and spacious and really clean. The bathroom was huge with both a bathtub and a shower. The bed was really comfortable and cozy. The patio is big with lovely views of the city. The breakfast was generous (with menu options) and delicious. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the place!

  5. Above the city retreat

Hillcrest B & B is sort of out of Kelowna in the Rutland area. The room is large and spacious with a large bathroom, huge bathtub and separate huge shower. They have a restaurant for meals. They serve a good breakfast and the day time menu leans toward very good Indian with other quality selections.

  7. Exceeded expectations

I stumbled upon the Hillcrest Farms B & B while looking online for a nice room at a reasonable price, just something for an impromptu getaway. This place was perfect. Our room was large high-ceilinged, attractive, and clean with a high-end king bed, gas fireplace, oversized bathroom with soaking rib and separate step-in shower, and a large city-facing balcony with table, chairs, and umbrella. There were no limitations on combing and going at any time through a dedicated enterance for the B&B rooms. As the name suggests, the location is a working farm/orchard and the B&B rooms are are on the second floor above a farm shop and restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast (included) from the restaurant menu. The owners appear to live in separate onsite buildings. If you are looking for great rooms and value – and I was – this is the place! That said, you wouldn’t be splitting hairs to say that this is more hotel than B&B. If what you are looking for in your B&B experience is interaction with the proprietors, character rooms (we were in the plum room which had tasteful plum color paint and linen accents but was otherwise simply and rather generically decorated), and three really personalized nature of moist B&B’s this might not be the place for you. Our stay was during the busy season for harvest etc, so the owners were no doubt busy. Service was friendly and professional, but more ‘large commercial operation’ than ‘intimate B&B.’ This is an observation not a complaint, just something that some prospective guests may find noteworthy. We were truly happy with our stay.

  8. Poor customer service

The room was absolutely first rate. A super king size bed , very spacious with comfortable seating area, a covered balcony with outside seating and far reaching views of the city and Lake Okaanagon. The luxurious bathroom had a huge walk in shower and partially sunken bath all decorated to a very high standard. It really was like a 5 star hotel room. There was a separate guest lounge with a Big TV and comfortable seating with tea and coffee facilities. It was perfect. However when we came down for breakfastt in the adjoining cafe the following morning, which was supposed to be included. We were told that this was not the case and as it was Monday morning we could only be offered muffins and coffee. We had already paid for this hotel before our arrival and the owner disputed this and charged us again. We had to contact our bank to prove we had paid and whilst waiting for the phone call to go through other people arrived in the cafe for breakfast and were offered menus with a choice of breakfasts. When we pointed out we had only been offered coffee and muffins we were told we had got the room at a very reasonable rate and we made to feel we were not entitled to the full menu. This was very unfortunate as we had loved spending the night there and it was such a shame that the memory of staying there now leaves a sour taste and f it is a shame that because of the extremely bad customer service and the way we were treated we feel we can not recommend this place for others to stay here.nWe were refunded the second charge but had to pay the exchange commission twice.

  9. Great place!

Stayed here for 3 nights in January. Nice modern accommodations. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff and owners. They have 4 beautiful rooms above a small market and cafe (closed in the winter). Breakfast is served from your choice on the cafe menu. Cafe remains open for B&B guests. Parking is good. Location is reasonable, only about 5 min drive to the main drag.
