  1. Awesome place, excellent pricing

Late evening stop due to long day, and once again found that this motel, even though it is a little older was spotlessly clean, all amenities provided, close to all be needed for meals and necessities. And an excellent price.

  2. Awesome Throwback Motel - Felt Like 1950's

     (5 / 5)

This place was awesome! It felt like we were transported back into the 1950’s. It’s a quaint family run place. The best part of all was the two Polish sisters that clean the place. Our room was spotless. When I went to congratulate them on a job well done I witnessed them cleaning another room. One of the sisters had actually moved the refrigerator out so she could clean behind it! WOW! That just shows you their dedication to cleanliness. The toilet seat actually had a little piece of paper wrapped around it to let us know it had been sanitized. Very impressive! I hope we get the chance to stay here again.

  3. Great price for a nice place to stay

My wife, our 2 young daughters, and I stayed for a week after Peach Fest in a room facing Skaha Lake road. The room was a queen with 2 twins and was very comfortable and had most of the stuff we needed. It would have been nice to have a kitchen, but those were all taken. nThe beds were nice and we had no issues with anything in the rooms. The shower needed a new head, but I did mention that to someone that worked there so I assume it’ll get sorted. nThe walls were thick so we couldn’t hear the neighbours and the people above were also fairly quiet. nBeing on the main road was louder only due to the fact that a lot of loud vehicles are in the area. It would have been nice to be in the back and then there would have been the safety from the street for my kids. nThe pool was cold! But it was nice to take a dip in and the kids liked it. There are BBQs to use for guests and a play area that could use some TLC but the kids again, didn’t care about the state of some of the stuff. nBeing close to the beach is the best part. The hotel is far from downtown and the best restaurants but the beach makes up for it. Having the ability to borrow wagons and walk down there is great too. nOverall it was a great stay and we will for sure return. I would recommend it for anyone who wanted to be close to the beach and stay near lots of other families.

  4. Love, love, love this motel!

We recently spent 5 nights at the Empire Motel along with many groups of relatives. The rooms (suites) are very spacious and very clean! Air conditioning worked beautifully and thank goodness as it was hot during our stay. The staff were very accommodating and so friendly and helpful! We spent a great deal of time in the back grassy area either relaxing in the sun on a lounge chair, swimming or enjoying a barbecued meal in the shaded gazebos! This motel managed to exceed the needs of everyone we travelled with and their rates are exceptionally good! My husband and I have travelled a great deal and this little motel is definitely my favourite so far! A big thanks to all the staff at the Empire Motel! We will be back!

  5. Very Nice Motel

     (4 / 5)

My sister and I landed in Penticton the weekend of the Car Show. We were lucky to find a room anywhere. We were especially lucky to find a room at the Empire Motel. A family run motel that was so comfortable, so clean, run by a wonderful family. They helped us with our bags and were very accommodating. It is situated just down the road from the beach too! They have a great area around back with a heated pool with loungers, gazebos, tables and chairs and BBQ. A great spot for couples and families alike. We stayed 2 nights and if we could have would have stayed longer. Very relaxing here. We got to see the parade of the antique cars go by too! Loved it here!

  7. affordable summer hotel

     (3 / 5)

Summer time in Petition is very expensive the Empire was clean and affordable with the kids. it is nice that they have a pool and a BBQ there for you to use nnot fancy but clean nit does have some cute homey features like teddy bears in the roomnand there is a game and book cupboard the old way take a book leave a booknI did find that neat

  8. Cute little motel!

     (4 / 5)

The motel was almost completely empty on a very snowy weekend. It was really quiet except when people ran up the stairs, you could feel the place shaking a bit but that only happened a few times. The room was very clean and nice but one thing I noticed was that since the room window faces the walking area, people passing by, heading to their rooms will, undoubtedly, see you if you leave your curtains open. nnIn the summer, the location would be fantastic because you’re so close to Skaha Lake! nnI was unsure about which motel to pick in Penticton but I was happy with my choice!

  9. Location offers lots of possibilities

     (3 / 5)

Probably a bit unfair to offer a review of this property because we were only needing a bed to sleep in and had no time to relax and take advantage of the picnic and pool area or the proximity to the park at Skaha Lake. The room was clean, had a full kitchen and two double beds. The staff was efficient and free parking was available close to our room. The price seemed a bit steep for just a place to sleep but there were few options on a very busy summer weekend.
