Elephant Island Orchard Wines

Elephant Island Orchard Wines

Elephant Island began as a family haven, a place of summer picnics, orchard adventures and magical holidays on the Naramata Bench. Today the elephant has grown into a 6,000 case winery driven to craft wines of character. Wines that sing with the unconventional voice of vanguard fruit. Wines that are balanced by a reverence for traditional winemaking practices. Wines that are rooted and inspired by family history.

  1. Sold out

I was disappointed to learn that my fave black current wine was sold out at elephant island. It’s often sold out at my local wine shop and I thought if I travelled 5 hours to the source I would have better luck. Instead I purchased an amazing sweet yet tart cassis dessert wine. Delish! I can’t wait to crack open the bottle This place was busy on a long weekend Saturday. I hope one day they decide to offer food on the patio. It was a perfect fall day to sit in the garden.

  2. Nice Wine and Setting

     (3 / 5)

Elephant Island winery has a nice, almost whimsical setting that sets itself apart from many of the other ‘standard’ wineries in the area. Staff were pleasant and engaging. The ‘tasting room’ is in a nice barn setup with a patio area off the back. The wine was a bit too fruity for my liking

  3. Lovely fruit wines

A must to visit when in the Okanagan! My favorite is the Apricot dessert wine but all other fruit wines are also lovely.

  4. Seemed like a place we should check out

     (4 / 5)

After visiting a few of the wineries close by, we were intrigued by the name. We had a choice of tasting flights to try and then offered seating on their nice patio. The casualness of this visit was lovely, and the fruit flavored wines were interesting. We truly enjoyed our visit and made a purchase. Thank you.

  5. A unique gem!

A must stop! Owners are great people and the winery is family friendly. There are a variety of delicious fruit wines to choose from, but don’t come here if you are looking for the same old same old. There is a special kids table as well in the tasting area. Cassis is awesome!!

  6. Short but Beautiful

This place is nice 🙂 Your tasting is served to you on their patio (where as most others you line up at the bar). You also get a choice of fruit wines or their regular menu. The servers were attentive (even after a 14 top sat down!). Very cute, will definitely go back.
