  1. Make the Distance

     (4 / 5)

We made the drive up to try the new place and we were not disappointed. The experience and the vibe helped make it worth the trip. Would suggest to others to go the distance to this cute venue and the wine tasty

  2. Hard to find but worth the journey

Oh good! You have a trip advisor page finally. I’ve been meaning to review for a while. nnThis winery is everything I needed and more. You drive up this windy road and think your lost, only to come across this cute little wine shack. I loved all their wines here, except their pinot Gris as it was too sweet for my tastes. nnMarcus, the wine maker is one of 6 master wine makers in Canada, and you can tell the quality difference. All the wines are organic and delicious. It’s so rare to find a Canadian shiraz and this one stole my heart. Also loved the chardonnay which isn’t common for me. The tasting room is casual, intimate and not pretentious. It was just the two of us and we got to learn a lot from our host. It’s been a while though so I can’t remember his name. nnI’ll be watching to see your wines in vancouver!

  3. Amazing wines

     (5 / 5)

We sought out Daydreamer Wines having tried their organic Chardonnay. This new winery is not to be missed. Marcus is a knowledgeable and passionate wine maker who is happy to share while you taste his wines. He has just opened his tasting room this summer Daydreamer offers organic product at very reasonable prices Putting that aside, the wines are fantastic. Clean drinking, great flavours and complexity. We look forward to aging his signature Syrah for a few years to see how it develops. nMake sure you have room in your car for a few bottles from here.

  4. LOVE this winery and its stellar wines!

     (5 / 5)

LOVE this winery and its stellar wines! All natural farming practices and natural fermentation both contribute greatly to the quality and to capturing the u201cterroiru201d or flavors of the region. Winemaker, Marcus Ansems, is a second generation winemaker (and a Master of Wine! Look it up!) and his lovely wife and wine badass, Rachel, run the vineyard and the business together with the help of a former sommelier (u201cI am a farmer nowu201d) with a wicked moustache . nA great group of people to share a conversation about wine with, along with a glass of wine of course! All beautiful wines here, but be sure to try their Platinum award winning Amelia Syrah- it’s a knockout. Beautiful views from up here on the top of the hill too, a picnic area awaits for your cheese and charcuterie that you brought with you to go with your wine. Can’t wait to return.

  5. Low Profile, Yet Excellent!

     (5 / 5)

Every year we spend 4 days in Naramata visiting many of the excellent local vineyards, while trying to incorporate some of the ‘new kids on the block’. We always stay at a little B&B in Naramata and get our guidance from the owners, who have their finger on the local ‘wine pulse’ This year we were told to pay a visit to Daydreamer Wines Vineyard, at 1305 Smethurst Rd, (not 1493 Todd Road where they are no longer located). nnHaving visited 30+ wineries over the past 5 years, Daydreamer Wines Vineyard has by far the most unassuming tasting room. However, what they may lack in views and a stylish, state of the art tasting room, is more than made up by the quality of the wines, all of them gems!nnWe were very impressed with Austin, who welcomed us in the tasting room: his knowledge of wine in general and all the Daydreamer wines we tasted, was excellent. nnAnd FYI: Daydreamer Wines doesn’t use any systemic fungicides/herbicides/ pesticides. nnIf you’re looking for truly excellent, well priced wines, Daydreamer Wines Vineyard is ‘a must’ stop.
