  1. Family ski vacation - Booked with Central Reservations

     (3 / 5)

We love going to Big White Ski Resort. It’s a wonderful destination for a family with TONS of FRESH powder! We skied for two days and explored and ice skated on our third day.nWe really liked the location of the Chateau on the Ridge with our bay window looking out at the Ridge Rocket Express. Our room was spacious and quiet and there was a hot tub just a few steps up from our room. We were happy there was an in-room washer and dryer – we used the dryer after a day on the hills.nThere are plenty of dishes in the suite as well as a dishwasher.nUnfortunately, the floors were dirty and had not been swept. Luckily there was a (broken) broom in the cupboard so I was able to sweep the floors. I would have vacuumed the floors but the vacuum was so stuffed full of dirt, it was pretty awful and I did not want to touch it.nAlso, the pull out sofa in the den was broken. We were able to use it for our son so it wasn’t bad. Someone from Central Reservations came to look at it when I reported it was broken so hopefully it will be replaced for the next guest.nAlthough the room was spacious and located just a short walk to the Village Centre, I have to rate it as only average due to the broken couch and the dirty floors.

  2. Family ski trip

Omg, so beautiful. Canada so friendly and clean. People so nice. The town had everything from restaurants and a market place for your groceries. Plus a hot tub. The lift is right in front of our hotel. So convenient. The slopes were awesome; wide and with long rides.

  3. Great stay

     (5 / 5)

Winter wonderland. We are from Kelowna but just wanted to get away. nWe just got back from a 2 night stay. Get the code open the door and wow we weren’t expecting it to be this big and nice. We had #302 which is a corner unit. 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. Also had a tv and game systems in the one room. The unit was well equipped with all the essentials. nDown side was you could tell it was getting near the end of the season as there were a few things broken/ loose. Cen res takes care of the housekeeping which in my opinion is not the best. While on my down time I tried to fix a few things ie: the games room game/cable system was not even hooked up and tried fixing the loose kitchen faucet. But really this place was awesome in my books. I forgot to get the owners direct info for future stays but will try to find it.

  4. Great ski in /out condo

     (4 / 5)

We stayed at the Chateau on the Ridge, condo 406, for 6 nights during our recent family ski trip to Big White. It came as advertised… a true ski in /out with access to 3 lifts which you can see from the condo itself. The condo was clean and very spacious having 4 bedrooms and a loft which easily accommodated our family of 9. The kitchen came fully equipped but was lacking things like scissors and a large salad bowl, but did have the basics… salt, pepper, oil and a few other spices. We did most of our shopping at the Costco & Walmart in Kelowna prior to driving in, but did buy a few things that we forgot from the market in the village where the prices tended to be on the high side. Having underground parking was also a godsend as it snowed over 24′ during the time we were there. There was also a locker where you could store your skis and snowboards and access to a hot tub to relax after a hard day of skiing. The condo also had a washer/dryer, so we could do laundry and dry our ski clothes. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay at the Chateau on the Ridge!

  5. Broken Leg!

     (4 / 5)

We stayed in Condo 310, a 2 bedroom unit. It is in a good spot to ski in and out from, and the walk up in to the village talks a few minutes. My son broke his leg skiing so he appreciated all the TV cha els available, and also the fact that the village shuttle stops out the front. Central Reservations was very helpful when they found out what had happened and provided car pick ups from our door when ever we needed it. We’ll be back!

  6. Big(positive and negative) experience at Big White

     (3 / 5)

I was there March 2012 and experienced one of the best skiing conditions in my life. Hotel itself is conviniently located, not that expensive, pretty well maintained but old, so you can achieve only that much on luxury field. Administration was run by young people from Down Under. They were very polite but acting just to get themselves out of trouble. My room was changed to ‘equal one’ because they gave it away to Britons complaining about noise from overhead doors to underground parking garage. I didn’t argue so viciously, like our cousins from Europe, and paid price for that. It left bad memories about staff attitude, reminder, this was my room booked before and all stuped explanations and reasons for change made me sick, so I gave up. Resort is oriented for families with small kids. Teenagers were bored, not even WiFi internet access provided. Restaurants and grocery stores quite expensive. However that was compensated by really good skiing conditions, well working lifts and friendliness of locals, lifties etc. Only for that I probably check again in the future.

  7. Big White - Big Excitement

     (5 / 5)

Stayed at this condo in the Big White Village. We had a wonderfull time. The skiing was fantastic. condo itself was very clean, had most of the dishes and stuff that you would need, and everything was new(ish). Housekeeping came twice a week to change towels. Located in a great spot for ski in/out. Price was VERY good. Other places were almost double in price. Beds were comfortable and bug free.
