CedarCreek Estate Winery

CedarCreek Estate Winery

CedarCreek is one of BC’s first 8 wineries. With four generations of agricultural heritage and more than three decades of experience their single vineyard wines are a true expression of their terroir. Located 20 minutes from downtown Kelowna we are an ideal destination for locals and those touring wine country. Situated on a hillside, you are treated to a panoramic view of lush vineyards, Okanagan Lake, immaculate grounds and our beautiful gardens. We are committed to providing guests an intimate and educational experience in an exceptional setting. Our entire team is excited to bring the wine country experience to a whole new level at CedarCreek this year with our brand new tasting room, and year-round restaurant, Home Block, opening late Spring 2019.

  1. Amazing wine tasting!

     (5 / 5)

We had the wine tasting in a small cellar. All the wines were of great quality. I fell in love with the Platinum Chardonnay and really liked the Riesling, Gewu00fcrztraminer and Ehrenfelser (The Chardonnay and Ehrenfelser are a must). nnWe tasted Pinot Noir, Merlot and a very surprising Syrah (loved it so I got a bottle) Tanner was taking care of us and he was knowledge, friendly and helpful. It was a nice chat about wines :DnnThe Fortified wine is amazing !!! We really want to buy a bottle but they were out of stock :(nnWhat a great experience mixed with great wines + beautiful weather = 5 stars!

  2. An amazing lunch at the winery.

     (4 / 5)

Cedar Creek is obviously successful given the amount of construction happening on the grounds. We visited one winery prior to stopping here and specifically wanted to come for lunch. Once in the parking lot you travel through the wine shop, down some steps, over a gravel drive, down more steps and find yourself in the restaurant. It is a covered pavilion with one side (the west) completely open with gorgeous views of the lake and far shore. The kitchen is separated from the dining area but semi transparent curtains so you can watch the chefs if you wish. nI had the daily special which was goat with an anchovy paste, butter potatoes and grilled cabbage. Hubby had a pork belly salad with pear and bacon fat vinaigrette. We split and shared each dish. Incredible food. Just incredible. And the service was very professional The restaurant closes on September 16th, 2018 and next year the building under construction will house a bigger restaurant capable of seating 50 indoors and 50 outdoors I would highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience After lunch we walked up to the tasting room/store and made a purchase. The number of stairs may prove a problem for some. Hopefully there won’t be as many when the new restaurant/tasting room opens next year

  3. Cant wait until renovations are complete

     (4 / 5)

This will be an exquisite and stunning place to visit when renovations are complete but right now it’s a little bit of a mess. Their wines are fantastic however and their staff is very interactive and helpful.

  4. Great wine and service

Amazing place to visit. The wines were a great representation of the region, and he had great service from Eddie who was really knowledgeable.

OUTSTANDINGnWe did the 2:00 wine tour and then had lunch in the restaurant Great wine tour and tasting guide – he was great ! Lovely wine tasting on the patio – great views (least smokey day). Amazing lunch on the patio – food superb – service excellent!nHighlight of our vacation !

  6. Under construction

     (4 / 5)

They are under construction so I’d say avoid it if you can go to other wineries. We booked the cellar tour and it was OK. I was expecting the u201ccellaru201d, you know, underground and dark and all, but this is mostly industrialized now. I also have to agree with Natty L, winery staff, not only at CedarCreek, all seem to have a certain attitude about them like they are above their customers or something. Can’t say I’ll be visiting another Kelowna area winery anytime soon.

  7. Beautiful wines

     (5 / 5)

The winery is under going a lot of construction but that doesn’t affect the atmosphere at the cellar door. Wines were lovely and staff were informative and knowledgeable. nThe restaurant is still open and offers a great view over the lake and is still very peaceful despite construction.

  8. Classiest winery on our stop

     (4 / 5)

This place was classy and their tasting hostess was easily the most skilled at romanticizing and describing the tasting experience that we had encountered the entire tour. nnSome of their wines wowed me too, especially a Pinot noir rose Would recommend this stop. Great scenery (minus the construction), venue, staff, and wine selection

  9. Excellent Afternoon!

     (5 / 5)

Our afternoon at Cedar creek was fantastic! My Mom and I had booked the platinum wine tasting and tour and it was wonderful! Lauren went above and beyond to make sure our visit was informative, enjoyable and fun. The wine was excellent and she tailored those that we tasted to our individual preferences. Our charcuterie platter was very tasty and really went well with all the different wines. I had asked in advance if it was okay to bring my dog, and they were even more dog-friendly than I was expecting! She was welcome to come into the shop and on the vineyard tour, a staff member looked after her for me while we went to see all the barrels. They even had treats for her! Such a great afternoon!
