  1. Wonderful place to camp!

     (5 / 5)

We stayed here about 2 weeks ago, and it was probably the best place we could have found to camp! It was close to family, but out of the hustle of the city. The owners and staff were absolutely wonderful to deal with- and the new playground for the kids was a pleasant surprise! The washrooms and showers are incredible (so smart btw!) the laundry room with a large dish sink was also a wonderful sight when you have such small children! Haha! We will only stay there next time we’re in Vernon! It was that good! Thanks! *oh and BX falls is sure a beautiful little hike!

Absolutely the best campground in Vernon. Nestle amongst tall spruce trees only 8 minutes from central Vernon. Excellent amenities. Clean reasonably priced. The owners are absolutely amazing. Great hospitality and pride of ownership.

  5. June adventure

     (5 / 5)

Spent 2 nights here while on our trip. Can’t be closer to Vernon and not be in it. Quiet and well cared for. Lovely breeze off the lake when hot. Shady sites and a bonus ‘turtles’!! Bathrooms were in a word ‘luxury’. Staff friendly and helpful. lovely pool to cool off in. Everything only minutes away. Train track close but only saw one train in 2 days. Very secure.

  6. Very nice campground with excellent staff.

It is a very well shaded campground, many trees, clean facilties, well maintained and has added a number od new sites. It is a little hard to get cell phone service but the office has wifi available. Nice and quiet, beautiful waterfall nearby. I would recommend it.

  10. Quiet and Comfortable

     (4 / 5)

My wife and I stayed for a week, just got home yesterday. When we arrived the staff assisted us in parking our small trailer at our site, which was very much appreciated, as it was a very tight fit even for our small trailer. I wasn’t very impressed with the campground at first, because it is very unconventional in it’s layout. Our site was fairly small as is the campground itself. It is also a bit out of the way, so if you are there to explore the Okanagan it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to downtown Vernon.nAfter a couple of days stay though I found the camping very comfortable. It is much cooler than staying in a typical parking lot RV Park in the valley, and our site was well treed and shady. Another anomaly was the power and water hook-ups. For whatever reason they are situated on the wrong side many of the sites. We got by without them, but one may need a longer hose and electrical extension to reach.nBeing smaller, the campground itself is very quiet, which suited us. The only trail in the immediate vicinity is just down the road, where to can hike down to enjoy a nice waterfall. They have no sewer hook-ups yet (I believe the new owners may be installing them soon), but we did just fine using the dump-site in Vernon when we were done camping there.nWe found the staff very helpful and courteous. During open hours there was always someone at the registration desk to help with a smile on their face. The small store doesn’t have too much, so your day to day groceries have to be purchased in town. Our site was across from the bathroom, which was as modern as any we have seen in a campground. A buck gave you a 5 minute warm shower. nWe would return to this campground and recommend it to those who prefer quiet and peace. We particularly enjoyed the company of Danielle, who lives in a cabin right next to the site we were at. He is a staff member of the site who was very kind with our grand children when they visited. He also shared many stories with us during our final night and was nice enough to give us a painting he had made of an owl. Hopefully we will get re-acquainted if we return.
