  1. Brin de Soleil B&B - little hiden jewel in Penticton

     (5 / 5)

We have nothing but good things to say about Brin. We were greeted by wonderful hosts Janine & Pat – down to earth wonderful couple! Frank & I were overwhelmed with the view and the beautiful accommodations! The decor, the cleanliness..reminded us of a spa! The breakfeast was 5 star quality and delivered with a smile to enjoy on the beautiful patio!! Janine recommended a wonderful wine tour & Wine & Cheese to go – this did not disappoint. The wineries are all within 5 minute drive..the drive is surrounded by mountains, apple orchards and vineyards. The bed super comfy!! Just like home!! The only regret we have…three days were not long enough! Thank you both for a unforgettable getaway..from Toronto Frank & Marisa Giorgio!!

  2. The best B&B!

     (5 / 5)

As another reviewer said, this is not a typical B&B: you are staying in a completely private (1 or 2 bedroom suite) and your breakfast is served on a private patio. The owners are lovely, never intrusive, but so friendly and available when you need them. The views are gorgeous. The breakfasts are delicious and diverse (we stayed three nights and each morning there was a new delicious meal waiting for us), the accommodations clean and tastefully decorated. Very cozy, lovely atmosphere. Will absolutely return and recommend to everyone!

  3. A view right out of Tuscany with tremendous sunsets

     (5 / 5)

Pat and Janine were waiting for our group, when we arrived. We used both of their suites and they were both lovely. We only had onew problem. Their long driveway with two curves is dirt and gravelnand my husband was not comfortable driving up on his motorcycle. Pat came down and got us and our luggage and we safely left the motorcycle with no problems down on the dead-end oiled road. Our friend with his trike made it up the driveway just fine. Even though the units are in the side of a hill, the view and patio out front is all one needs. The city of Penticton lights at night are twinkly and beautiful. I just can’t say enough about the view, orchards, vineyards and wineries we toured. Such fun and there are many, many. Our breakfasts were delivered to our frig the night before and we could eat them whenever we chose. The muffins and fruit French toast were wonderful. The fruit tray was very nicely and picturesque. Could be in Sunset Magazine!nEverything was clean and tidy in the units.nWe will be back again, but in our car. Yes, the units are pricey, but well worth what they charge!

  4. what a treat!

     (5 / 5)

My husband and I decided on a last minute drive up to Penticton. The following morning before taking off I briefly checked the trip advisor site and brought along the names of a few B & B’s. We did not know there was a jazz festival that weekend and we had a difficult time booking our first night. However, we were SO LUCKY to find an opening at Janine and Pat’s beautiful home the following evening. Their home with the lovely two rental suites is perfectly situated with a great view of the lake, close to many wonderful wineries and hiking/biking opportunities. We were greeted by Janine and Pat with such warm hospitality. It’s clear they really enjoy people and want all their guests to have a perfect stay. We stayed in the one BR suite and it was great. We had a patio and french doors looking out over the lake, a comfortable LR with flat screen TV and a basket filled with DVDs. There was a bistro table handy for the delicious breakfast Pat brought down in the morning and a small fridge and microwave. The bath was beautiful with a comfortable hand-held shower in the tub. And, to have a separate bedroom was such a treat. Janine had even left a small bag of lavender on each pillow! We thank you, Janine and Pat, for such a wonderful stay. Besides your elegant and immaculate suite, your warmth and sense of humor were such a treat. Next trip, we’ll call to make sure you have an opening for each night before heading up!

  5. Great Place!

     (5 / 5)

My husband and I stayed here one night while we were on a motorbike trip and boy are we glad we found this place! We had been riding all day and were anxious to relax… this was the place to do it. The view is spectacular – we sat in the sun for two hours enjoying the view. The Ambiance suite we stayed in was great and the breakfast was good too. Our hosts, Pat and Janine were very friendly and greeted us but also respected our privacy as well. I can’t wait to go back!! Love this place.

  6. Stu ing location, great hospitality, fantastic food!

     (5 / 5)

We chose the Brin De Soleil for our honeymoon for some peace and relaxation after our crazy wedding week. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The location is perfect, near vineyards and orchards, close enough to Penticton yet far enough away to be removed from the city bustle. The views are simply stu ing, with a lovely patio area where we ate every morning. The food was incredible, our hosts gracious and pleasant, leaving us to our peaceful holiday yet providing us everything we needed. The suite itself is beautiful, spacious, bright and immaculately clean. We have so enjoyed our time here and will be return visitors in the future!

  7. The best B & B of our Canadian trip

     (5 / 5)

Brin de Soleil was actually our 2nd choice of B & B in Penticton as we wanted to stay where our son and his partner had stayed 2 years ago but that didn’t work out. But we were so glad we stayed here instead. The suite is spacious, very stylish and very comfortable and the views from the patio are stu ing. Janine and Pat were very helpful with suggestions for eating – at the nearby wineries of course. The delicious breakfast was delivered to our suite the day before – and both day’s breakfast were different – which meant we could eat at our leisure and outside on the patio looking over the lake. Bliss!

  8. Spectacular location, comfortable suites and great food

     (5 / 5)

We loved the two nights we spent at Brin de Soleil (Aug 31-Sept 1, 2011). The setting is so beautiful, up on the hillside, overlooking orchards and vineyards and the town of Penticton. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and it’s nice to have a separate sitting room with TV – entertainment for the night-owl while still quiet for the sleeper. Breakfasts were delicious, made with local, in-season products and served personally by the owners Janine and Pat. There’s nothing like sitting on the patio after a long day of exploring the valley, with a glass of regional wine, some Popular Grove cheese, relaxing and watching the brilliant sunsets. A great stay! By the way, Janine air dries all the linens to save energy. Who does that anymore, amazing!

  9. A Must Stay!

     (5 / 5)

We arrived at Brin de Soleil and were amazed by the view, and we were continually pleased through out our stay. The view was stu ing, the breakfasts were so delicious, the beds were very comfortable and it was more space then we could have hoped for. The suite was impeccably clean, and Janine & Pat are great people, very knowledgable, helpful and hospitable. Our one and only complaint, as noted in the other posts, would be that you can hear your neighbors in the next suite, but it’s a small consolation. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there, we wished it could have been longer. We will never forget sitting and enjoying the view for hours. We absolutely recommend staying here.

  10. Perfect Getaway!

     (5 / 5)

My partner is NOT a bed-and-breakfast person. His idea of hell is to have breakfast and make chit-chat with strangers first thing in the morning. Brin de Soleil is NOT your typical B&B; they provide private suites, with a private patio and private breakfast service. Topping our list of what makes the Brin de Soliel great is the VIEW…it’s absolutely beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the bees in the lavender that surround the patio, as well as the expansive lake and mountain views. Some of the other reasons this was such a great getaway: the hosts Janine and Pat, the tasty breakfasts, Deisel the dog (harbinger of breakfast), the firm mattress, the coffee with cream, the great selection of DVDs, the garden, the location (near our favourite winery La Frenz) and the many birds we saw. We’ll definitely be back!
