My boyfriend and I showed up on a night where the restaurant was closed ( we did not realize this) and they were hosting a private party, We were a walk in and they welcomed us in to the restaurant and we received excellent service and amazing local food. the flavors burst in your mouth with every bite. Waitress was so attentive. I am impressed and will be telling all about the amazing quality of food and service we received. We will be back

  2. Birthday Celebration

     (4 / 5)

To celebrate my nephew’s birthday, we went to Bogners for dinner. Due to the popularity of this quaint and busy restaurant, reservations are recommended. Off-street parking is provided behind the restaurant. After taking our coats, we were seated promptly at a table for three in front of the fireplace. The atmosphere was welcoming and homey. Our waitress provided menus and filled our water glasses. We ordered drinks, studied the menu and after our waitress provided answers to our few questions, we each selected our meal. My Cesar Salad was delicious. Before our entree was served, another large group of guests arrived and they were seated across the room and behind us. They were quite noisy and ruined the ambience for me. It became difficult to conduct a normal conversation at our table due their loud voices. Our main course was served and proved to be tasty. I enjoyed my dessert, a decadent chocolate gnache. Our bill was reasonable.

  3. Delicious food, great service, value for $

     (4 / 5)

Had a lovely dinner on Saturday night. No u00e0 la carte choices here, just the 4 or 5 course menus to choose from. We chose the 4 course as the 5 course was a set menu and some of the dishes didn’t appeal. There were 2 or 3 choices for each course except a set 1st course. The first course was ordinary, a slice of Brie on a sliver of house-made rye with a Malbec-grainy mustard sauce. The Brie and bread were good but I didn’t enjoy the topping. Caesar salad and Calamari for the 2nd course were both well executed, the calamari coated in a light batter and cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. We both had pork ribs and fries with coleslaw for the main and these were very good. The servings were generous. Dessert was cru00e8me bru00fblu00e9e, espresso chocolate mousse or deconstructed cheesecake of which we chose the first 2. Both were yummy. We chose a local wine from the wine list and it was a lovely accompaniment to dinner. Service was great. The price of $35 for 4 courses was excellent value. Bogner’s began in the late 70s and is still producing excellent food in a lovely atmosphere. We will be back!

  4. Excellent food, service and atmosphere, checks all the boxes for a good dining experience

     (5 / 5)

The restaurant is in a character home so it feels like dining at a friend’s home, but with better food than most friends would provide. The menu offers a 4 course dinner for $35 or a 5 course small plates menu. Both had enticing dishes and a variety of options within the courses. The wine list offers an excellent option of local Okanagan Valley wines by the glass, 1/2 litre or bottle.

  5. Girls night

Great atmosphere and service! The food however disappointing. The chicken had no flavour and the hand made spaghetti had globs of pasta stuck together.

  6. Special Occaission

Don’t be put off by anothers’ bad experience, often they are too opinionated. We ordered the 5 course ‘family style’ and were pleasantly surprised at the presentation, tastes and quality. Again, it is not ‘a la carte’ so young children and burgers and fries are likely not going to enjoy this venue. It is in a historical house, elegant yet casual and there was even a family off urbanized deer in their garden, Something different, will return!

  7. Fine Dining

If you want a special treat in dining and service this is your place. The menu is locally based and the chef/owner is great at offering tasty dishes. We enjoyed the experience and will be back.

  8. Farm to Table

     (5 / 5)

Having been the server that night Diane was talking about, I must apologize if the concept of the restaurant was not well perceived. As I explained at the beginning of dinner, the concept of the Restaurant is Farm to Table. This concept has taken over the World of restaurants, having fresh produce and creating with such products. Some times that means we change the menu every week of twice if necessary. As you may well know, restaurants all around the Globe, are bringing to the table small batch produce, or growing their own as we do, in order to give our customers fresher and pesticide free product. Pujol in Mexico City, for example, will sometimes offer only one menu option, Paul Bartoli and even the Adria family are part of this fresh and healthy produce concept, seeking, at our best possibilities, to bring restauration to the people we serve. It also means that not all the zucchinis are the same size, or that some tomatoes have a different shape. As etiquette, and respect towards the cheff, salt and pepper are considered unnecessary unless they are requested. The cheff creates new flavors and likes to play with the elements. So doctoring up a beautiful tomato with more than itu00b4s needed will go against the point, letting the produce and creative flavors shine. On my account I did go several times to attend the table, and provided what was asked. Living in a small community, discretion is absolute, and as I recall the conversation regarded specific private matters, and for that reason we choose to be visible but not impertinent. It is sad to see that you only mention the bad and not the fact that we accommodated the needs of your table, changing the menu as requested for more than one, or the fact that the meals not eaten were not charged. It is sad to read that, even dough the items in question were not tasted by the person writing this review, there is no mention of the fact that we offer another option for dinner, there is no mention on how that perception changed the mood of the whole table, changing the perception of another that was gladly enjoying his meal, and had gone through with a few bites of it, until a complaint was made, or that the rest of the group ate the rest of the meal with no further comments. I am a firm believer in healthy and fresh produce, cooked in different and creative ways and I respect the fact that with this concept the perception of restaurants around the World is changing, bringing flavor and color to the table. On my regard I am sorry you felt missed treated, but we servers are only human and we read into situations as well as we can. But I must assure you, we did cook a batch of the item in question that night, and to us…. The kitchen and staff…. The meat was tender and juicy… But we will do our best to give others in our charge a unique and positive experience.

Another Penticton Gem OMG I love this place! We went out to celebrate our wedding anniversary and decided to select the 4 Course meal with wine pairing. From the get go the hospitality was fabulous. All the food and wine is local fare . I will definitely be returning to this place again and again
