Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars

Blue Mountain is an estate dedicated to producing complex wines, consistent in style and quality from year to year. Located at south end of the valley with 31 hectares of vines planted, the property supplied grapes to other wineries for 21 years before the Mavety family founded the winery in 1991. In addition to Pinot Noir, the 12,000-case yearly production consists of Gamay Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and a m\u00E9thode traditionnel sparkling wine, all from estate grown grapes.

  1. Changed my life !

So before visiting Blue mountain I was under the impression that all white wine was not good ! Very soon after I arrived I realized everyone I know just drinks bad white wine lol The Pinot Gris and Savignon Blanc that I purchased that day are some of the most enjoyable flavours I have ever tasted !! Stop in to taste their talents for sure

  2. Love the Brut!

This is our third time visiting Blue Mountain. The server was lovely and knowledgeable . The wine is delicious and it’s always been a great place to visit on an Okanagan wine tour.

  4. It's not that far out-of-the-way

     (4 / 5)

The views are absolutely amazing. The label on on the wine bottles have the spectacular view facing south. The building itself is almost completely covered in vines adding to a type of uniqueness that this winery seems to have. Haley was pouring for our particular tasting, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s not that far off the beaten path, I would recommend visiting this winery if you are in the area.

  5. Phenomenal Whites!

     (5 / 5)

This has always been one of our favorites and our last visit was no different! The whites (particularly the estate Pinot Gris) are my absolute favorite and their sparkling is also incredible.. The service here is always top notch and provides for a wonderful tasting experience. Heidi was extremely friendly and helpful during our last tasting – very pleasant visit.

  6. This winery has the most beautiful views in any part of canada we have visited

     (5 / 5)

The dramatic mountain and flowing green vineyards are just so so beautiful. One really must make a trip to see this beauty. I know the wines are excellent but it was the setting and views that took our attention. Quite spectacular

  7. Amazing wine, amazing view!

We actually dropped in to say hello to an old friend who is working there but were amazed by the quality of the wines! Some terrific bubbly whites and excellent quality in general. Make sure you bring a camera for the view.

  8. One of my top 3 wineries in the Okanagan

     (5 / 5)

Make sure you go early in the season if you want to bring home any wines. Will sell out quickly. The Brut and the Pinot Noir are my favorites but unless you get on the mailing list, you will likely not be able to buy after June each year. The drive up the hill is beautiful, and the surroundings are amazing. A highly recommended stop on your Okanagan wine tour.
