  1. Mixed feelings

     (3 / 5)

I love the view and patio. The staff is lovely and the wine tasting service is good. The food is truly awful . Both flat breads we had were bland and expensive. This is pretty simple stuff to prepare. I really wanted to take a dip in the pool. Will this ever be an option?

  2. Please book a private tasting.

We booked in for a private tasting each time we visit this wonderful winery. The staff are up to date on their wines and seem very excited about what they do. It is always a great visit.

  3. Everything about this winery from staff to wine to food to view...is phenomenal!

My boyfriend and I were fortunate enough to stumble across tickets to the Black Hills Estate Winery Midsummer Nights Dream party. It was his birthday and I had purchased tickets. From start to finish the staff and winery did not disappoint. Every member of the Black Hills team took it upon themselves to make sure that we had a special time. I have to say though, that they made all of the guests feel like they were the most important people in the world. Complete care was given to ensuring all needs were met; everyone had enough food (and the food was utterly amazing) and your wine glass was never empty. If you haven’t experienced this wineries wineu2026it is phenomenal. Buttery Chardonnays and deep and delicious redsu2026we were so impressed. The winery was all decked out with a DJ, wine stations, food stations, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the experience. They had a fashion show, synchronized swimmers and great music. The attendees had such a wonderful time that they too became members walking the catwalk and entertainers attempting to synchronize swim in their party attire. LOL it was the absolute BEST party we have ever been too. We vow to become regulars and bring as many of our friends and family to experience such happiness for all of your senses. We were treated to a VIP wine tasting the next day and were blown away by our wine tasting tour guide and all of his knowledge and information he provided. It was truly worth doing. All in all this was the highlight of our summer! We spend our weekend during the summer seeking out wineries and enjoying the pairings offered, but this experience bar none was the greatest memory. Thank you to all of the staff that make this winery stand out amongst the rest, and thank you to all of the wine makers from start to finish that make your wines so enjoyable to drink. Cheers!

  4. Double the pour size

     (4 / 5)

Most wineries don’t charge a tasting in the South Okanagan or will wave the fee if you purchase a bottle of wine. Black Hills charges $20 for 5 tastings or $10 for 3 wines. The fee is not waved with purchase however if you have a certain Visa card it’s free to taste. The wines were good and the pours were nearly double the size of other tastings. Their pizza was really good and the staff were friendly.

  5. Wine touring

     (3 / 5)

Stopped for a wine tasting and stayed for lunch. Wine tasting took place at our table which was very nice an he service was excellent. The wine is served in beautiful glasses but the wine did not overwhelm any of us in the group. Will have to try it again on another visit as I’ve heard good things about their wine.

If you are looking for a truly civilized way to taste wine stop by, or make a reservation, at Black Hills Winery. Not only do they have some absolutely wonderful wines, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the food is great and the view is amazing. All in all worth your time and money!
