  1. Outstanding snow and everything is super family-friendly

WOW – we *loved* Big White! less than an hour from the airport. You can take a morning flight and catch a couple hours’ worth of runs not long after touching ground The resort’s tag line is u201cIt’s The Snowu201d and it’s so true. Incredible snow. Big White’s snow is the best I’ve experienced so far in Canada and rivals the champagne powder in Utah. Big White caters to families. So much to do!nnMy nearly 8-year-old daughter had no trouble getting on and off chairlifts on her own there, and the onsite Kids’ Centre was awesome and a half-day (9:15-11:45 a.m. with two hours of lessons) is only $74. nnBig White is a great intro to skiing out west in the mountains for little kids who may not be able to manage super-long runs that take 40+ minutes to complete. There are plenty of lifts that lead to runs that can be done in just 15 or 20 minutes. The restaurants we tried were all great, too, and I will review each one separately.

  2. Great ski resort, especially for young children

We had a big family Christmas at Big White. 23 people and a dog. Great place to go to for great powder skiing, ski in, ski out accommodation. Sleigh rides, skidoo’s, tubes and skating. Not a lot of night life, but a few good bars, and places to eat. One shop to buy supplies and plenty of winter ski equipment to buy, both for snow boarders and skiers. Shuttle bus in and out of village, but not that frequent. A bit off the beaten track for us Europeans but I guess Canadians are used to that. Great time had by all especially the New Years Firework display.

  3. Great mountain for everyone

Variety of places to ski for all levels, lots of places to wine and dine, at various levels, usually no life queues except Christmas to New Year, and lots of fun activities for children.

  4. Best place to enjoy you holiday

Good for all levels … I start snowboarding and the instructor are great Jeff Beck is the best …. I took two lesson and now I am level 3 means I can be on my board and enjoy..

  5. Love it

Been coming here for a long time now, and it’s always been a great experience. Lift lines are never too long, lift operators are friendly, terrain selection is awesome. I have one question though: When you upgraded the Powder Chair, why didn’t you take the opportunity to make it an express lift? I’d ski the powder terrain more if the journey up was faster.

  6. Family Christmas 2017

     (5 / 5)

We had a family reunion where we all had condo rentals. Each came with hottub and were quite big and nice with living room, kitchen and dining. The resort isn’t huge but it sure is big enough with plenty of high end dining options. The skiing is excellent. kids age 10-20 had a blast.
